“An Athelete with a True Josenian Spirit “

Jan Mark Toring is, no doubt a gifted student-athlete from the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJR). He is indeed making amazing plays in the basketball court with his efforts, gifts for the game, and passion shown. As one of the loyal players for the USJR Baby Jaguars, Toring proved that besides barring excellent athletic basketball abilities, he willfully committed to balancing academics and sports.

His strong work ethic and leadership have earned him the respect of his teammates and coaches alike, inspiring him not only on the court but also off it as he impressively sinks crucial shots in the final minutes of a game or dedicates extra hours to his studies. Definitely, he is a true student-athlete, always finding ways to improve and perfect his skills, but this is perfectly fine as well.

He has proven that hard work, the spirit to persevere, and the drive to succeed really go a long way in achieving one's goals and it is sure to take him higher up both academically and in athletics.

“Pakighimamat 2024: Josenian’s Starting line to a new Epic School Year Journey”

A another school year starts, as the josenian spirit unleashes. The Grade 11 and Grade 12 student gathered at renowned Recoletos coliseum on August 22, 2024 to celebrate a unifying spirit and dedication as the school year 2024-2025 starts, igniting a true josenian spirit like never before. The event features the ability of the students to dance and to think creatively by moving as one, and being able to create a unique dance performance during the pakighimamat dance number. The josenians are filled with joy and electrifying feelings while celebrating the event.

As the vibrant colors of the Josenian banners waved proudly, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and camaraderie. Students from grade 11 and 12 came together, showcasing their talents and creativity through a captivating dance routine that reflected their unity. The palpable energy in the Recoletos Coliseum resonated with cheers and applause, as each performance told a story of teamwork and dedication. With each beat of the music, the participants not only entertained but inspired their peers to embrace their individuality while contributing to a larger collective spirit.

The event served as a reminder of the strong bonds formed through shared experiences and the unwavering support of the Josenian community. As the celebration continued, the spirit of togetherness ignited a sense of pride among all, marking the beginning of a promising school year filled with opportunities for growth and achievement.
