National Women's Month is more than just a celebration. It is also a remembrance of a history, of women who stood as leaders, who led with wisdom, healed with care, and guided their community with courage.Their leadership was not rooted with power, but in purpose.
Today's women walk the same path, leading occupations in classrooms, homes, and movements, carrying with them the same spirit of resilience that once defined the babaylans. This celebration is a reminder to us that leadership is about service, voice, and unity, not about power. It also reminds us that when women rise, they do not just rise alone, they lift communities, families, and the future.
In the rhythm of history, and the voice of the present, women continue to lead with wisdom from the past and hope for tomorrow.
