For 128 years, the Philippine flag has stood as a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and the unwavering spirit of a people who dared to dream of freedom.

Today, as we celebrate our nation's independence, we look back on the bravery of the heroes who fought not for themselves, but for generations they would never meet. Their sacrifices remind us that freedom was never freely given—it was earned through resilience, unity, and love for country.

But beyond the celebrations and the waving of our flag, we are challenged to ask ourselves: What does it mean to be truly free? How do we honor the sacrifices of our heroes in the world we live in today? And what kind of Philippines are we helping build for future generations?

"Ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang alaala ng nakaraan, kundi pananagutan ng kasalukuyan at pag-asa ng kinabukasan."

The College of Business and Technical/Vocational Courses (CBTV) Council Officers took part in the Philippine Coffee Quality Competition 2026 held on May 21, 2026, at the Sultan Kudarat Convention Center in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, together with Sir Elmer Valera, MBA.

The event brought together coffee industry stakeholders, local farmers, coffee producers, enthusiasts, and learners in celebrating quality, craftsmanship, and innovation in the Philippine coffee industry. It served as a valuable opportunity to recognize the dedication and hard work of farmers whose efforts continue to shape and strengthen the country’s coffee sector.

For the CBTV Council Officers, the experience went beyond participation. It became a meaningful avenue for learning, allowing students to gain insights into industry standards, agricultural entrepreneurship, and the important connection between local communities, producers, and businesses.

Through experiences like this, students are encouraged to appreciate industries beyond the classroom setting while developing a deeper understanding of excellence, sustainability, and community development. Encounters with professionals, industry leaders, and farmers continue to inspire future business leaders to value innovation, perseverance, and the people whose work creates impact from farm to cup.

Empowering educators through innovation and continuous learning! ✨📚

The College of Business and Tech/Voc Courses (CBTV) faculty and staff successfully conducted a Seminar-Workshop on the Re-Orientation of the NDTC LEAP, aimed at strengthening understanding, enhancing strategies, and aligning educational practices for a more effective learning experience.

The activity was spearheaded by the hardworking CBTV Dean, Dr. June Ann O. Oberez, whose dedication to academic excellence continues to inspire the department toward growth and development. 💙

Adding valuable insights and expertise to the seminar was the invited guest speaker, Engr. Joseth Angelo A. Bidding, CCpE, who shared meaningful discussions, practical knowledge, and fresh perspectives that truly engaged the participants throughout the session.

Indeed, the seminar became a productive avenue for collaboration, learning, and professional growth — proving once again that education evolves best when educators continue to learn together.
