✅NARITO NA ANG SPAG TALIBON AND TRINIDAD CHAPTERS, REGION 7 IN ACTION.

What: A Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) Seminar and Dawah Activity was successfully conducted to promote peace, deepen understanding, and strengthen cultural and religious awareness within the community.

Where: Covered Court, Barangay San Isidro, Talibon, Bohol

When: July 24, 2025 | 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Who: The initiative was led by the SPAG Talibon and Trinidad Chapters, represented by Bro. Abdulmalik C. Avenido and Bro. Amir Jose Louis M. Villegas, in collaboration with PCpl Jonald “Abdulsalam” C. Avinido, Salaam Police PNCO of Bohol PPO, under the supervision of PLTCOL NORMAN L. NUEZ, Chief of PCADU.

Why: The activity aimed to equip barangay officials with accurate knowledge about terrorism, violent extremism, and the core tenets of Islamic beliefs, values, and traditions.

It sought to raise awareness on the significance of PCVE efforts, fostering an informed, respectful, and cohesive community.

How: During the seminar, Bro. Abdulmalik C. Avenido and Bro. Amir Jose Louis M. Villegas delivered comprehensive lectures on the foundations of Islam, dispelling common misconceptions and highlighting Islam’s true message of peace and coexistence.

Their discussions were crafted to promote mutual respect and understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims.

Following this, PCpl Jonald “Abdulsalam” C. Avinido presented the PCVE framework, emphasizing the vital role of collaboration between law enforcement and local communities in addressing and preventing radical ideologies. His presentation offered practical approaches for community-based solutions to extremism.

A significant highlight of the event was when a barangay councilor and the chief tanods openly shared that it was only through this seminar that they came to realize the peaceful essence of Islam.

Their honest testimony underscored the importance and positive impact of initiatives like this in breaking down prejudices and building bridges of understanding.

Tagbilaran City, Bohol – Mapasigarbohon nga gipahibalo sa Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) ang dakong kalampusan sa ilang gipahugtan nga kampanya batok sa illegal nga droga sukad Enero 2025 hangtod karong buwana (Hulyo).

Base sa datos, 482 ka anti-drug operations ang gipahigayon, nga miresulta sa pagdakop sa 501 ka mga suspek ug pagkakumpiska sa 22,971.37 ka gramo sa shabu, nga may katumbas nga kantidad nga ₱156,205,343.20 base sa standard nga presyo sa droga.

Kini nga kalampusan nagpamatuod sa walay puas nga paningkamot sa BPPO ubos sa pagpangulo ni PCOL ARNEL BANZON, nga determinado nga tapuson ang iligal nga droga sa probinsya.

Dugang pa, si PLTCOL NORMAN NUEZ, Tigpamaba sa BOHOLPPO, misaysay usab sa dakong papel sa katawhan sa maong kampanya:

Subject: Submission of Chapter Status Report, Conduct of Elections and
Active Membership List

Date: July 15, 2025

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

In the interest of organizational order, accountability, and operational effectiveness of the Salaam Police Advocacy Group (SPAG) nationwide, all Regional, Provincial, City and Municipal Presidents are hereby directed to strictly comply with following directives:

1. Submit a comprehensive report on the current status of all SPAG Chapters within your respective area for validation. This should indicate active and inactive chapters, existing officers and operation concerns, if any.

2. Facilitate and conduct elections in all inactive SPAG Chapters in coordination and under the direct supervision of your assigned Salaam PNCO in the area.

Elections must be held in a fair, transparent, and organized manner, with the results officially reported to the National Headquarters.

3. Submit an updated list of active SPAG members in your area. This list must include each member's National ID number, Chapter page, and official group chat link as previously required under the earlier memorandum. The complete consolidated report must be submitted to SPAG National Secretary, Ms Mialet Sani, on or before August 31, 2025.

4. Please be advised that SPAG Officers from the Regional, Provincial, City, Municipal, down to Barangay levels who fail to comply with this directive within the specified period shall be deemed resigned from their respective positions.

Consequently, the National President shall exercise the authority to appoint replacements to ensure uninterrupted service and leadership in the organization.

This memorandum takes immediate effect. All concerned are expected to give this matter their utmost attention and priority.
