Why the Catholic Church is Truly God’s Church
Many misunderstandings about the Catholic Church come from false assumptions or partial knowledge. Let’s clarify:
1. Scripture and Tradition work together
• The Church teaches God’s Word faithfully (2 Thessalonians 2:15, 1 Timothy 6:20).
• Tradition is apostolic teaching passed down, not man-made rules. Matthew 15:9 warns against empty traditions, but Catholic tradition preserves Christ’s teachings, not contradicts them.
2. The Church obeys God’s commandments
• The Ten Commandments are central (Exodus 20, Deuteronomy 5).
• Practices like fasting, feast days, or Church rules guide holiness, not disobey God.
3. Apostolic Succession is biblical and necessary
• Peter and the apostles appointed successors (Acts 1:26, 2 Timothy 2:2, Titus 1:5).
• Bishops and popes continue the mission Christ gave to His apostles.
4. The Church is universal and eternal
• From the beginning, the Church welcomed all nations (Acts 2, Acts 10).
• Being “Catholic” simply means universal—the Church Christ built continues to this day.
Bottom line:
The Catholic Church is God’s Church, guided by Christ, preserving Scripture, upholding the commandments, and passing on Apostolic teaching. Many attacks are misunderstandings—but the truth remains.

Reflection
🕊️
Defending the Catholic faith is not about winning arguments - it's about witnessing the truth Christ entrusted to His apostles. Even when attacked or misunderstood, we are called to respond with charity, patience, and clarity. Some may argue, some may mock, but many others silently learn and grow in faith because of our witness. Let us plant seeds of truth and guide souls to Christ.
