Are you afraid of making mistakes? Don’t worry, so do I.
It’s only a natural part of life.
Heck, as I am writing this, I am constantly reminded of the mistakes I made growing up.
Now if your goal in life is to attain “PERFECTION”
I have some news for you. That’s not really ideal.
That would mean, you should never make a single mistake in your life.
But Vic, don’t you know?
“You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” - Matthew 5:48
Noted on this.
BUT…even the almighty can also feel regret or think that something is a mistake.
“And the LORD REGRETTED that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart.” - Genesis 6:6
We all make mistakes. The key is to learn from them and avoid repeating them.
Here are some tips that will be helpful.
1. Acknowledge and Accept the Mistake - Take responsibility for your action. Don’t shift the blame onto others
2. Determine what led to the mistake - Analyze or gain insights into how to avoid similar mistakes in the future.
3. Avoid self criticism or negative self talk - View mistakes as opportunities for learning and improvement. Let go of guilt and share plus practice self-compassion.
It's a brand new day and you might have already made your first mistake.
Don’t worry, there is also a lot of opportunity waiting for you today.
Ending this with a quote from a vlog that I have been listening to.
“Perfection is unattainable, progress is inevitable”
