Snappiest salute to our fallen heroes CPT Marky John O. Alberto, CPL Charlie Para-an Lagasi (INF) PA and Pvt Julian R. Oracion from the First Scout Ranger Regiment who paid the ultimate sacrifice during an encounter between troops and CTGs at Barangay Lantuyang 2, Baco, Oriental Mindoro earlier today.

We also extend our condolences to their bereaved families. Armed Forces of the Philippines guaranteed that their sacrifices will not be in vain and will not be forgotten. 🙌

While browsing through my phone earlier, I came across a message I had saved, and I’m glad I did.

It brought me back to December 2018, when I sustained wounds in battle. I remember how surprised I was when the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) reached out to me, not just with a message, but with a personal phone call. They asked me to share what had happened, so they could relay it directly to no less than the Commander-in-Chief.

Just a few days later, I was again taken aback, this time by the outpouring of support extended to me and my family. What was given went beyond material help.It was a gesture of genuine care, respect, and recognition to my uniform as a Soldier.

Reminded me that serving my country is not just a duty, it’s a sacred privilege entrusted to me by the Almighty.”
