JUMP MY CHILD! LIVE FOR US!
Buknoy, the family dog, survived the fire that broke out in Makati, on Saturday. His owners, an elderly couple who loved him deeply, chose to make sure Buknoy was saved first before their own safety.
In times like these, it’s easy for noise and judgment to rise. But behind every tragedy is a story we may never fully know. What we do know is that Buknoy and his furparents made it to safety and was reunited with his family, and that alone speaks volumes.
As a fur dad, I can’t help but imagine those moments filled not with panic, but with love. Perhaps gentle voices encouraged a frightened dog to move forward. Perhaps hands, shaking yet determined, chose to guide a beloved companion toward life. If so, then their act was a gift, one given without hesitation.
This is the kind of love that doesn’t ask to be seen or praised. It simply protects.
May this story remind us all of the extraordinary devotion between pets and their humans. That love, even in its simplest acts, can shine the brightest in the darkest of hours. 🐾❤️
(Please be sensitive with your comments. This is not a story of negligence. It is a story of devotion of elders who acted with courage in an impossible situation. Both the dog and the furparents survive)
