𝐌𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐒

1. The contest is open to all photographers, amateurs or professionals, 18 years old and above. Participants are REQUIRED to register from June 17 to June 21, 2024 to participate.

2. Participants may get their IDs at the Provincial Information Office starting June 24, 2024, to cover the events and participate in the contest.

3. Categories:

A. Kiay-Kiay sa Kabilin (Street Dancing)
B. Bahanding Pasundayag (Cultural Show)
C. Sports, Entertainment, and Other Events

4. Photos should be taken using any DSLR or mirrorless camera. Drone shots are also accepted. Entries can be portrait or landscape and shall be in color, not black-and-white or monochrome. Only cropping, minor burning, dodging, and color correction are acceptable for post-processing. Watermarks, date and time stamps, borders, signatures, high-dynamic-range images (HDR), and stitched panoramas are prohibited. Over-processed photo entries shall be automatically disqualified.

5. Files must be at least 5Mb, 300 dpi at 12mp.

6. A photographer can submit up to THREE ENTRIES per category. All photos must be taken during the 57th Araw ng Davao Oriental and 1st Kabilin Festival. Each photo submitted must not be the same or similar.

7. Entries must be submitted on or before JULY 2, 2024, 12:00 PM. It should be uploaded to Google Drive and email the link to [email protected] with the following information:

8. All entries should not be published on any social media platform prior to submission.

9. By entering the competition, the participant agrees and acknowledges that the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental is permitted to receive their registration data and reserves the right to own, publish, or display any entry, winning or non-winning, for promotional purposes.

10. Criteria:

Visual Impact: 50 %
Artistry & composition: 25 %
Technical excellence: 25 %

11. Prizes:

1st – P 10,000 + Certificate
2nd – P 6,000 + Certificate
3rd – P 4,000 + Certificate

12. A photographer may win more than once in the same category and/or in another category. The top entries will be posted on the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental's official page.

13. Submission of entries signifies the acceptance of the competition's guidelines.

14. The judge’s decision is final, and no negotiation will be conducted concerning any such decision.

𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀:
1. Theme: Capture the essence of "𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗡" (Nature) through your lens.
2. Eligibility: Participants must be 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲.
3. Camera Types: All types of cameras are allowed.
4. Photo Requirements:

𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮, 𝙎𝙚𝙩, 𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙠! 📸

DYPO had its 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘱 last September 23, 2023 at the Davao del Norte Sports & Tourism Complex, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. As said in the name of the event, this workshop is exclusive to those who were invited by the executives of the organization.

The organization invited one of their members who was based in Japan, Sir 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 "𝘊𝘺𝘤𝘺" 𝗚. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮, as the main speaker of the event. Sir Cycy shared his expertise and knowledge in photography to the invited participants. To no doubt, people in the event were having fun and gave their best shot during the workshop proper.
