Why is it easy to be unkind,
To steal, deceive, and leave behind?
While I keep bleeding for those who take,
How do I heal, for my own sake?

God, help me find a place to be,
Where kindness isn't seen as weak,
To mend myself, to end the pain,
And find my strength to stand again.

Stop the bleeding, give not what's left,
For their lies and greed leave you bereft.

Let the heartbreaks mend, piece by piece,
