A lot of moms think freelancing is only for tech experts.

That’s one of the biggest myths online.

Most beginner VA skills are actually learnable.

Google Docs.
Canva.
Email management.
Scheduling.
Research.
Communication.

Nobody was born knowing these things.

People learned step by step.

Please stop thinking:
“If I’m not naturally good at technology, I can’t do this.”

That mindset alone is already blocking opportunities from you.

You are more capable than you think.

You are probably more capable than the version of you inside your head believes.

This might hurt a little.

But some aspiring VAs are addicted to consuming content.

Watching tutorials.
Saving posts.
Researching nonstop.

But never actually applying.

Because learning feels safer than failing.

And overthinking feels productive.

But eventually, you have to move.

Even small steps matter.

One application.
One skill.
One practice task.

You don’t need giant confidence.

You just need momentum.

Overthinking feels safe in the beginning. Until you realize years have already passed.

Before I discovered the VA industry 5 years ago, I was a full-time mom with no work experience at all.

No corporate background.
No freelancing experience.
No idea where to even begin.

And honestly?

I felt so behind in life.

I would see people working online, earning from home, building careers…

While I kept thinking:
“How can someone like me even do that?”

But I also don’t want to make this journey sound easy.

Because it wasn’t.

There were a lot of sleepless nights.
A lot of coffee.
A lot of self-doubt.
A lot of moments where I questioned myself quietly.

I spent so much time learning, overthinking, trying, failing, trying again.

Sometimes while exhausted.
Sometimes while taking care of responsibilities at home.
Sometimes while wondering if anything would ever work out for me too.

That’s why whenever I see beginners doubting themselves now, I understand them deeply.

Because I know what it feels like to start from zero while feeling emotionally overwhelmed at the same time.

And maybe this is what more people need to hear:
You do not need to have everything figured out before your life starts changing.

Sometimes people are not stuck because they lack potential.

They’re stuck because they’ve spent too much time believing they’re already disqualified before they even begin.

“What if the life you want is waiting on the other side of your fear?”

That line stayed in my mind for a long time.

Because honestly…
A lot of people are not stuck because they’re incapable.

They’re stuck because fear sounds convincing.

Fear says:
“You’re not ready.”
“You might fail.”
“You don’t know enough yet.”
“What if it doesn’t work?”

So instead of trying, people stay where they are because it feels safer.

Even if they’re unhappy there.

And I think a lot of aspiring VAs silently struggle with this.

Not because they’re lazy.
Not because they’re not smart enough.

But because starting something new feels terrifying when you’ve doubted yourself for so long.

Especially when:
• you’re a mom
• you’ve been out of work for years
• your confidence is low
• you feel behind in life
• you’re scared of embarrassing yourself

But what if fear is not a sign to stop?

What if it’s actually proof that something important matters to you?

Because maybe the life you keep imagining for yourself…
only exists once you finally walk past the fear that’s been holding you still.

Stop waiting to feel ready.

That “ready” you’re waiting for?
It doesn’t come before you start.
It comes after.

If you’re a mom sitting at home right now,
thinking about doing something more…
saving posts, watching videos,
but still not moving—

This is for you.

You’re not lazy.
You’re overwhelmed.

Too many options.
Too many things to learn.
Too many doubts in your head.

“Hindi ako ready.”
“Hindi ko pa kaya.”
“Maybe next time nalang.”

But the truth?

No one starts ready.
No one starts confident.

You build that along the way.

So maybe…
this month is different.

Not perfect.
Not complete.
But finally—starting.

Imagine this:
• You trying, even if it’s messy
• You learning, kahit paunti-unti
• You showing up, kahit kinakabahan

That quiet progress?
That’s the real win.

This isn’t about having everything figured out.

It’s about choosing to move—
even when you’re unsure.

Because the longer you wait,
the longer you stay in the same place.

And deep down,
you know you’re meant for more.

I’ll study later.
I’ll apply later.
I’ll figure things out later.

Then later comes… and you’re already tired.

No energy. No focus.

So you tell yourself again,
“I’ll just do it tomorrow.”

And it keeps repeating.

It’s not because you’re lazy.
It’s because you don’t know where to start.

When things feel unclear, your brain delays everything.

Don’t wait until you feel ready.

Pick one simple task and just start.
Action first. Clarity follows. 🩷✨

You know those days where you’ve been busy the whole time…
but when the day ends, it still feels like you didn’t get anything done?

You cleaned.
You took care of things at home.
You tried to figure out how to start working online.

But the kind of progress you actually want?
Still not there.

And then that thought hits you…
“Why am I so lazy?”

But you’re not.

You’re just carrying too many things at once.

Home. Responsibilities. Trying to build something for yourself.

That kind of mental load is heavy.

Instead of being hard on yourself today, ask this instead:
“What’s one small thing I can do today?”

Start there. That still counts. 🩷✨

Hindi ka SMM lang.

Stop shrinking your role.

You don’t just post.
You don’t just reply.
You don’t just “help.”

You influence decisions.
You shape how brands are seen.
You drive growth.

So bakit ka magpapakulong sa “SMM lang”?

May next level para sa mga SMM na pagod na ma-undervalue at ready nang i-claim yung worth nila.
