The QuickWarn Weather Team has formally unified and streamlined its branding.

This transition marks the consolidation of the legacy identities—including Storm Research Team, Cavite Cyclone Damage Survey & Severe Weather Research, Axis Weather Broadcast, QuickWarn 5ph, and Weather Prediction Center 5—into a single, cohesive entity dedicated to meteorological monitoring and community safety.

This new, unified name, the TNTS–Weather Team, represents a focused approach to providing high-quality, school-based weather advisories and localized severe weather analysis for the Tanza community and beyond.

We will permanently closed out the QuickWarn Weather pages and the QuickWarn5Ph Weather Prediction Center 5 for rebranding a new page TNTS–Weather Team!

Don't forget: WE VALUE LIFE!

Thank you for months of countless statements and warnings!!!

TNTS WEATHER TEAM: MONITORING REPORT

As of 9:50 AM, June 24, 2026

Our Weather Team is closely monitoring the current weather disturbances affecting the country. Below is the latest update regarding Typhoon Francisco (Mekkhala) and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat):

Typhoon Francisco (Mekkhala): As of 4:00 AM today, the typhoon was estimated at 275 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes.

It is currently moving northward at a speed of 10 km/h, carrying maximum sustained winds of 155 km/h and gustiness of up to 190 km/h.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 remains in effect over Batanes and the northeastern portion of Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands.

Enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat):

The Southwest Monsoon is currently being enhanced by Typhoon Francisco.

This interaction is bringing scattered rains and thunderstorms to various regions, including Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the Negros Island Region.

Radar Imagery Analysis: The radar image depicts convective activity associated with these weather systems, illustrating the widespread rain bands affecting parts of the country.

Safety Advisory: A gale warning remains in effect for the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, where sea travel is considered risky for all types of vessels due to waves reaching up to 4.5 meters.

Residents are advised to stay alert for potential localized flooding and landslides.

Our Weather Team continues to track these developments.

We remain dedicated to providing accurate, data-driven updates to our community.

Stay informed, stay alert, and remember: We Value Life.

QUICKWARN WEATHER PREDICTION CENTER 5 | WEATHER UPDATE AND MONITORING.

THUNDERSTORM ADVISORY NO. 4
ISSUED BY: PAGASA-NCR

Based on Doppler radar data as of this time, a thunderstorm cluster is currently affecting the area and is moving East at 30 km/h.

This weather disturbance is expected to bring heavy rains, strong winds, and the possibility of lightning to Tanza, Cavite and other surrounding areas. Residents in the affected locations are advised to take necessary precautionary measures against potential flash floods and landslides, especially in low-lying or mountainous areas.

Important Note on Terminology:

While some reports may colloquially describe intense convective storms, it is important to distinguish that a supercell is a specific type of dangerous, rotating thunderstorm characterized by a mesocyclone. Supercells are the least common type of thunderstorm but are highly organized and capable of producing severe weather such as large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes.

PAGASA typically utilizes standardized "Thunderstorm Advisory" and "Rainfall Warning" categories to communicate threats to the public.

Please continue to monitor official channels and the PAGASA radar imagery for the latest updates on this developing weather system.

TROPICAL CYCLONE ALERT!

Tropical Cyclone Update: Severe Tropical Storm Francisco (Mekkhala)

As of late Saturday, June 20, 2026, the weather disturbance known internationally as Mekkhala has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Upon entering the PAR, it was assigned the local name Francisco by the state weather bureau, PAGASA.

Key Details:

Classification: The system intensified into a severe tropical storm prior to or upon its entry into the PAR.

Forecast and Impact:

While a direct landfall is currently considered less likely, the storm may recurve or turn near Batanes by midweek.

PAGASA has indicated that the storm's presence may warrant the raising of wind signals in parts of Northern Luzon.

Although the storm is not expected to directly affect the country, its trough or extension may bring scattered rains to parts of the Visayas and Mindanao over the weekend.
The system may also trigger the resurgence of the southwest monsoon (Habagat) over western sections of the country starting Sunday, June 21.

Please continue to monitor official bulletins from PAGASA for the most accurate and up-to-date tracking information.

TROPICAL CYCLONE ADVISORY #04
DATE: 20 June 2026
TIME: 1:30 PM PHT

CURRENT STATUS:
Tropical Storm "MEKKHALA" (2607) has been spotted. The system is currently moving West-Northwest at a speed of 15 km/h.

FORECAST & INTENSITY:

There is a high chance of the system developing into a typhoon within the next 24 hours.

While current projections keep the center away from direct landfall on the Batanes Islands, we are monitoring a medium chance of trajectory shifts.

Even without a direct hit, the storm’s proximity will likely enhance the monsoon, bringing heavy rainfall and potential flooding to provinces in Northern Luzon.

ADVISORY TO THE PUBLIC:

As student meteorologists, we emphasize that weather conditions are dynamic. We are currently utilizing radar data and surface maps to track instability and wind velocity. While we continue our monitoring operations to ensure high-accuracy alerts, we urge all residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant, keep updated with official PAGASA bulletins, and prioritize safety measures over all else.

Stay alert, stay safe!

Tracking Note: Our team is actively analyzing real-time atmospheric patterns from the Himawari-8 satellite and local surface charts to bridge the gap between scientific observation and community safety.

Mission Focus: QuickWeatherWarn5Ph remains committed to rigorous monitoring and proactive warning dissemination for our community.
