๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ ๐ On the 27th day of June, the CvSU-CCAT Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Unit commenced its Joint Closing Ceremony, Turnover of Command, and Activation of its School-based Ready Reserve Unit at the campus Covered Court 1.
The event was attended by campus key figures, including Dr. Lauro B. Pascua, Campus Administrator, Dr. Ariel G. Santos, Director of Instruction, Dr. William P. Luseco, Director of External and Business Affairs, and ROTC Commandant MAJ Jonathan J Bosque (ARM) PA, alongside other enlisted personnel.
Ms. Joanna K. Filosopo, the campus' National Service Training Program (NSTP) In-Charge, started the event with her welcoming remarks, followed by CPT Jessie C Bucal (OS) PA, Assistant Commander presenting the candidates for graduation to MAJ Jonathan J Bosque (ARM) PA, who formally declared the outstanding 744 MS 2 Basic ROTC Cadets and 42 advanced cadet officers as graduates.
Spearheading the distribution of awards and certificates, guest of honor, and speaker COL Ramil B ANOYO INF (GSC) PA Commander, 4RCDG, RESCOM PA recognized distinct graduating cadets and outstanding performers with 54 Honor Awardees, 37 Honor Star Awardees, and 3 Proficiency Awardees.
The event seamlessly transitioned into a Change of Command ceremony as C/CPT Angelica V Amposta assumed command as the new Corps Commander from the Outgoing C/COL June Angelo A Oliveros, 1CL. Following this, Dr. Lauro B. Pascua, Campus Administrator, delivers an inspirational and uplifting message that resonates deeply with all cadets.
Additionally, the Activation of the CvSU-CCAT School-Based Ready Reserve Unit was formally established with MAJ Jason B Torino (INF) PA, Group Adjutant, reading the unit activation order and designation orderโhaving 1LT Helen T Calilan PA (RES) as the Acting Battalion Commander of the School-Based Ready Reserve Unit.
Lastly, COL Ciriaco A Lomas-e INF (GSC) PA 402nd CDC Director 4RCDG, RESCOM PA formally introduced COL Ramil B Anoyo INF (GSC) PA Commander, 4RCDG, RESCOM PA, as the guest of honor and speaker. COL Anoyo shared valuable insights and inspired cadets to continue serving with honor, discipline, and excellence.
The event concluded with the presentation of mementos and awarding of certificates to the guest of honor and speaker. The mass singing of "Awit Kawal" and "Pilipinas Kong Mahal" was followed by the formal exit of colors led by the Advanced Cadet Officersโofficially wrapping up the event.
