Pacer pls 😅
In 2019, Eliud Kipchoge ran a marathon in under 2 hours — a groundbreaking feat. His time was 1:59:40, making him the first person to break the 2-hour barrier. The race took place in Vienna, with perfect pacing and conditions designed to push Kipchoge beyond human limits.
Despite the historic nature of the run, it wasn't recognized as an official world record. Why? It wasn’t a traditional race. Kipchoge had 41 pacers, laser-guided technology, and a closed course — all factors that make it ineligible for record status.
Though it wasn’t an official world record, Kipchoge’s achievement left a lasting impact on the running community. His words after the finish — “No human is limited” — became a rallying cry for athletes and dreamers everywhere.
While the record may not be official, Kipchoge proved something much more important: that human potential knows no bounds, and limits can always be shattered with the right mindset.
