The College of the Holy Spirit of Tarlac has always been in the forefront of student journalismβ€”one that is unafraid to fan the flame in order to indulge the youth with relative information as sustenance to keep the fire of nationalism within our hearts from being put out.

It is clearly shown with every volume sent out by our dear publication, especially with the newly-released edition of The Shield and Ang Kampilan from the High School Department, alongside The Shield Jr. and Ang Kalis from the Elementary Department.

Now that the campus journalists who’ve dedicated their whole year to deliver factual and timely stories for the people have finally published their hard work, the students can now bear witness to the different occurrences from which they are involved in the form of articles. Whether it be buzzing news updates, opinion exposΓ©s, or sports coverages that will keep your adrenaline highβ€”all of which, and more, are now available through the school newspaper.

Hard copies are now up for grabs within campus grounds, all the while a soft copy is also available in the comfort of your own home which can be accessed through this link:

This is a testament of sleepless nights, endless research, and emergence of pieces that count. So, make sure to take your time in feasting on every little detail!

𝑳𝑨𝑻𝑬 𝑷𝑢𝑺𝑻: Celebrating the Last English Ambassadors of the School Year!

As March marks the closing of the school year, we proudly present the final set of English Ambassadors for S.Y. 2025–2026!

The English Department remains steadfast in its mission to develop communicatively competent learnersβ€”empowering students to become confident, proficient, and effective users of the English language. Through the English Ambassadorship Program, we recognize those who have demonstrated exemplary performance in their English courses, particularly in oral communication.

Now in its eighth year, the program continues to highlight excellence and leadership in communication. This final set of ambassadors was carefully selected through a thorough screening and deliberation process led by the English Department faculty, under the guidance of Mrs. Grace T. Mallari, Subject Area Supervisor in English.

As we close this school year, we celebrate not only the achievements of these outstanding students but also the continued growth and success of all CHSTian learnersβ€”ready to take on greater opportunities in the global community.

Like flowers in a garden, mothers bloom in different waysβ€”
some are roses, strong and timeless;
some are sunflowers, bringing light wherever they stand;
some are lilies, gentle and full of grace;
and some are wildflowers, quietly beautiful in ways the world may never fully see.

Today, we celebrate every kind of motherβ€”
those who nurture, protect, guide, sacrifice, and love without measure.
May your hearts bloom with the same beauty you have planted in the lives of others.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the flowers of the world. 🌸

Today marks yet another date that needs to be remembered in the Philippines as we commemorate the laborers who have fought, and has never stopped fighting, for a little more respect for what they have done for the country.

They are the very reason why this world keeps on spinning, for nothing in here would function the way it has without the people providing service behind them. Though, it is with this very reason that they become overlooked--truly something that should not have happened in the first place.

So, as we celebrate Labor Day, it reminds us to bring light to the working class. It has always been time they are given with the proper recognition and praise, and today pushes us to do so even more moving forward.
