Teachers aren’t just celebrating during the Christmas party. They stay behind the curtains, counting prizes, fixing plans, and quietly turning their effort into moments others will remember. 🥹

There are days that I get mad at them.

Days when patience runs thin and voices get raised.
But what they don’t see is this: Every time something bad happens to them, it aches. Deeply.

Because once you finally get to know your students,
they stop being just “that class” or “that problem section.” They become kids with stories, fears, and struggles they don’t always know how to express properly.

I discipline them not because I’m tired of them,
but because I believe in who they can still become.

Being an adviser means loving students
even when it’s hard, even when they don’t realize it yet.

And if caring this much means getting hurt sometimes, I’ll take it because to me they’re worth it.

Three strangers. One foreign land. And a friendship we never planned. 🇻🇳🇵🇭

Zarah, Jec, and I found friendship in between lesson plans and long days, in café hopping and random trips, in loud celebrations and quiet moments of loss. We saw each other win. We held space when one of us had to be strong enough to survive an operation.

The memories that stay the most are simple; traveling to unfamiliar places, discovering small cafés that felt like home, laughing over nothing, and sitting in silence when words weren’t enough.

Then one random night in a coffee shop, we talked about home. About stability. About the kind of future we were all silently hoping for. No grand plans. Just trust, listening, and the courage to say, “What if we try?” That night, we convinced each other to take a step back home through Sa 'Pinas, Ikaw ang Ma'am at Sir (SPIMS).

Today, we’re back in the Philippines, serving as government employees. Still friends. Still creating new memories just on different streets, under a familiar sky.

Finding good people can change the direction of your life. As life has a way of leading you exactly where you’re meant to be. 💛
