📌 𝐂𝐒𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐬: 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬❗️

𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙙𝙖𝙮!

We would like to address several concerns regarding the recent events related to the CSG elections.

𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩, during the meeting de avance, everyone was given the opportunity to ask questions. However, we were only allotted a limited time—𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟮 𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻—for the event. As much as we wanted to hear from everyone, we had to follow the time constraints. We admit that we were not fully prepared that day, and our performance was affected by the recent revision of the CBL (Constitution and By-Laws), which was revised on 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟱. This gave us less than 𝟰𝟱 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 to prepare, which actually 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗦𝗚 𝗖𝗕𝗟. Despite this, we were asked to proceed with the election earlier this year based on the recommendation of 𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗦 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻, as mentioned by 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲.

𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙, we sincerely apologize for initially requiring students to vote for 10 senators in the first release of the Google Form. We have already corrected this, and students are now only required to vote for 𝟲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, as this is the actual number needed.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙, we did not allow abstaining in the selection of senators due to the requirement stated in the CBL that at least 𝟱𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 must cast votes. Allowing abstentions could result in 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 due to insufficient votes. We were simply 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗕𝗟.

𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙝, we recorded the meeting de avance and 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁. If you believe the transcript is inaccurate, please understand that 𝘄𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆.

𝙁𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙝, we 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱. Again, everything we shared was 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 during the election.

𝙎𝙞𝙭𝙩𝙝, we moved the time of the meeting de avance to 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 due to 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 on that day. The candidate in question was 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱, as they arrived 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.

𝐀 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, on June 05, 2025, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) promulgated the amendment of the Central Student Government Online Elections 2025-2026.

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, in perspective of the preceding and in compliance with the ordinance of the Constitution and By-laws of Central Student Government Article XVIII, Section 9 states that “The COMELEC shall… (a) Conduct fair, honest, and systematic elections.”

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, as an independent body, the Commission shall also conduct an effective system of election for the incoming term of Central Student Government.

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, the COMELEC will be conducting the online elections on June 5 to June 6, 2025.

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, the timeframe of the election must be strictly followed.

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, the COMELEC acknowledges and accepts responsibility for the fact that online elections may affect the public confidence in the voting process.

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, it is necessary to cast votes from at least 60% percent of the whole CvSU-Trece students population before the candidates are appointed to their position.

𝗡𝗢𝗪, 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘, 𝗕𝗘 𝗜𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗗, that the Commission on Elections will conduct the upcoming Central Student Government Online Election, effective June 5 to 6, 2025.

𝗕𝗘 𝗜𝗧 𝗙𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗗, that the candidates must adhere to the Constitution and By-Laws of the Central Student Government to the policies regarding inclusivity, non-discrimination, gender equality, sensitivity, and fair, honest, and efficient application processes.

𝗕𝗘 𝗜𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗗, that the resolution shall take effect immediately upon its publication

CvSU - Trece’s 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲𝐫𝐬 played hard against 𝐂𝐯𝐒𝐔 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐫 in a close game that kept everyone watching. Right from the start, the players showed great teamwork and defense that helped them get ahead.

The team stayed focused the whole time and didn’t give up, even when the other side tried to catch up. The Golden Martyrs’ hard work paid off with a final score of 𝟒𝟗-𝟑𝟑, winning them their well-deserved 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥.
