Keep the Fire Burning! 🔥

This artwork was created as an inspiration all believers, especially in the area of building up and encouraging each other. If you are a believer in Christ, then you possess a God-given spiritual gift. Everyone has different gifts, and they all are given to us for the purpose of building up the church. However, our gifts will not do any good if we are not actively using them.
Paul encourages Timothy to “fan into flame the gift of God”. (1st Timothy 1:6) The idea is seeing the hot embers of a fire that is going out, and then using a pair of bellows to blow them back into a flame. Sometimes this can be translated as “kindle afresh” or even “to resuscitate”.
In another passage, the writer of Hebrews tells us to “stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together....but encouraging one another.” (Hebrews 10:24-25) So we have a calling to re-ignite our gifts from God into bright, burning flames.....but also to encourage other believers to do the same.
The cool thing about fire is that it is both bright and hot....but its especially bright and especially hot when in close contact with someone else. And I think that is one of the reasons we are called to gather together with other believers. Church services, Sunday Schools, life groups, Bible studies, and other gatherings help us to encourage each other and let our fire grow beyond our own selves.
