Commission on Elections commissioner Rowena Guanzon on Friday slammed the camp of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. following the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas’ remark that Guanzon should be penalized with disbarment and forfeiture of retirement benefits for the “illegal” leakage of her unpromulgated opinion in the disqualification case against Marcos.

“Alam ba ni BBM that Partido Federal is threatening me, the Presiding Commissioner while his case is pending? Baka eh contempt ko kayo ipakulong ko kayo sa Manila City Jail,” she tweeted.

Commission on Elections Rowena Guanzon said she had to make public her decision on the petitions to disqualify presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. due to alleged attempts to “knock out” her vote since she is about to retire next week.

After presidential aspirant and Senator Panfilo Lacson criticized the government’s war on drugs, presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles on Tuesday defended the administration’s campaign against illegal drugs.

“Kung makikita po natin from July 2016 to November 2021, we have seized more than P74 billion-worth of illegal drugs–destroyed them as well as laboratory equipment and other paraphernalia. 23,686 barangays all over the country have been cleared from illegal drugs and the government continues its campaign against illegal drugs doon sa mga uncleared barangays pa,” Nograles said.
