Backslider ako noon. Pero dahil may isang tao na nag-take time at nag-take advantage para mag-share ng Word of God ito ay during reporting dapat sana ung assign topic lng ang i-discuss pero lahat ng aming classmate ay nakarinig ng Word, na-catch ang attention ko. Na-touch ako sa message ng Word ni Lord. After reporting, kinausap ko siya pero to be honest, mali yung motive ko that time kasi gusto ko lang siya isali sa networking.
Pero iba yung plano ni Lord. Imbes na ako mag lead sa kanya sa aking goal, ako ang na lead niya siguro dahil sa inilagay ng Panginoon sa puso ng taong ito ang desire to win the lost. Umaga nung siya ay nag report, at hindi natapos ang araw na yun na hindi ako nag-repent at nag-surrender ulit ng buhay ko sa Panginoon. Walang judgment, walang condemnation ang alam ko lang mahal na mahal ako ni Lord ag Hindi magbabago yun.
At dahil doon, na-lead niya ako mula sa pagiging backslider to be born again.
Doon ko narealize: may pag-asa pa para sa mga katulad ko, basta willing lang akong mag-YES kay Lord at magpagamit din para sa iba. Marami rin ang nataniman at nakasama namin sa campus ministry noong season na yun. At dun mo talagang mapatunayan: si Lord ang kayang magbago ng isip at puso ng tao at siya ang magbabago sa kanila pero humahanap siya ng willing vessels para abutin ang mga lost souls.
Ikaw? May kakilala ka ba na tulad ko noon dating may relasyon kay Lord pero tumalikod or taong hindi talaga kilala si Lord?
Good news: may pag-asa pa, pwde pa silang manumbalik or makakilala sa Panginoon! Basta ikaw ay willing mag-YES kay Lord. Sa pagpasok mo ha speak the Word, share the love of God, and bring revival in your campus! 🙌🔥
Do I need to be a class president, officer, or top student para magamit ako ni Lord sa campus?
Maraming estudyante ang iniisip ito. Pero the truth is, hindi titles or grades ang hinahanap ni Lord —kundi puso na willing mag-yes.
Ten years ago, when I was in college, my heart started to burn on fire for Jesus dahil sa sunod-sunod na retreats, camps, and conferences. I was thinking, “Paano ko kaya i-coconquer ang campus?”
I wasn’t a top student. I wasn’t popular. In fact, transferee pa ako na halos walang kakilala. Ang baon ko lang ay testimony ko, at desire na ma-win ang campus for Jesus.
The Lord led me to start small: by praying and fasting for my school, doing prayer walks sa hallway, and laying hands on every locker and classroom na nadadaanan ko.
Soon, I began to look for other Christian students and invited them to rise up with me. Step by step, God moved.
What started as a simple conversation with one person turned into a small group the following week, kasi isinama na niya buong tropa niya. Iba’t ibang small groups from different courses eventually became a bigger group.
We would gather in empty classrooms, sa plaza, minsan sa library. Students worshipped and prayed together. Leaders were raised. Backslidden Christians were revived. Many heard the Word and encountered Jesus for the first time.
And now, ten years later, marami pa rin sa kanila ang tuloy-tuloy na naglilingkod sa kani-kanilang churches. Yung dalawa sa kanila –magkakasama kaming nag-pioneer ng church named Revival Hub. And one of them even became our pastor. (I’ll share more of these testimonies in future posts.)
Of course, it wasn’t easy. There were school works, busy schedules, fear of rejection, at hindi rin sobrang open ang campus sa ganitong gatherings.
Pero nilinaw sa akin ni Lord noon: “You’re not just a student in this campus to study. You’re here on a mission.”
Kung nasa campus ka ngayon, tandaan mo: hindi mo kailangan ng title or position para gamitin ka ni Lord. Syempre, do your best to excel in school. Pero higit sa lahat, ang kailangan Niya ay pusong willing mag-yes.
And when you say yes, you’ll be surprised at how much God can do with it.
The Holy Spirit is in you. Start with the small steps He’s showing you.
