There was a time when I woke up excited, praying so hard for this job. I remember the nights I asked God for stability, for provision, for an opportunity to grow. I remember saying, “Lord, please give me a job. I’ll do my best. I just need a chance.”
And now… here I am.
Lately, I’ve been complaining. I’ve been saying I’m tired. Drained. Overwhelmed. I catch myself focusing on deadlines, pressure, responsibilities, and the never-ending tasks. Some days I just want to rest from everything. Some days I question why it has to be this hard.
But today, God gently reminded me:
“This is what you prayed for.”
The job I’m tired of is someone else’s prayer.
The responsibilities I carry are proof that I am trusted.
The salary that sometimes feels not enough is still provision.
The stress I feel is part of growth.
I realized that exhaustion doesn’t mean I’m ungrateful, it just means I’m human. But complaining without remembering how God answered my prayer? That’s when my heart needs realignment.
There was a season of waiting. A season of uncertainty. A season where I asked God for open doors. And when He opened one, I walked through it with so much faith and hope. I cannot forget that.
So instead of saying, “I’m tired of this job,”
I will say, “Lord, give me strength for the job You blessed me with.”
Instead of focusing on what drains me,
I will remember Who sustained me.
Work may be tiring. Responsibilities may feel heavy. But I know I am here for a reason. God did not place me here by accident. He answered a prayer, my prayer.
And if He gave me this opportunity, He will also give me the grace to handle it.
Today, I choose gratitude over complaints.
I choose perspective over pressure.
I choose to remember the prayers I once whispered in tears.
Because sometimes, the very thing we are tired of… is the same thing we once begged God for. 🙏
