To make School ID issuance easier, students can now book an appointment through Google Calendar or Calendly—choose whichever works best for you!

Booking is required before visiting the ID Production Office. After scheduling, please make sure to fill out the online application form.

Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) has wrapped up its transformative Balik Scientist Program, hosting Dr. Benildo G. de los Reyes from Texas Tech University for a month of groundbreaking collaboration. Concluding today with Dr. de los Reyes’ final report, the program has significantly elevated BiPSU’s research, biodiversity assessment, and curriculum development. As the only Eastern Visayas beneficiary of this prestigious Department of Science and Technology (DOST) initiative, BiPSU is now poised to lead with innovation, empowered by Dr. de los Reyes’ expertise and a renewed commitment to academic excellence and community impact.

𝗕𝗶𝗣𝗦𝗨 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿

Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) has woven its way into the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025. It secured a position at 1501+ among institutions from 115 countries for the second year in a row. By aligning its efforts with 10 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), BiPSU shows its commitment to sustainable progress.
This year, the university debuted in six new SDGs:

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production (401-600th)
SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (401-600th)
SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation (801-1000th)
SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities (1001+)
SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (1001+)
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being (1001-1500th)

BiPSU also advanced its position in SDG 1: No Poverty, moving from 801-1000th to 401-600th. It ranked in SDG 5: Gender Equality (801-1000th), SDG 4: Quality Education (1001-1500th), and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals (1501+).

University President Prof. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr. emphasized the significance of these achievements, stating, “𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏’𝒕 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝒘𝒆’𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆’𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒆.”

We are hiring Student Assistants at UMIO for A.Y. 2025-2026!

The University Media and Information Office (UMIO) of BiPSU is now accepting applications for Student Assistant positions.

We are looking for five student writers with skills in news and feature writing, as well as three video editors or layout artists with experience in creating video content and graphic design.

This opportunity is open to incoming second- and third-year students who are eager to develop their skills and be part of a dynamic media team.

Interested applicants must send their application letter and portfolio to [email protected] or personally submit them to the UMIO Office, located on the second floor of the university gymnasium, on or before June 25, 2025.

Biliran Province State University warmly welcomes Mr. Lorenzo R. de la Cruz as the newly designated Director of the University Media and Information Office (UMIO), effective today, June 9.

Following his appointment as the university’s Information Officer III last June 3, Mr. de la Cruz was designated as the office’s new Director through Special Order No. 35, series of 2025.

A proud BiPSU alumnus, Mr. de la Cruz previously served as an instructor in the College of Maritime Education, Department of Communication, and School of Technology and Computer Studies, and was a member of the Board of Regents, representing Senator Chiz Escudero.

With a wealth of experience and expertise in media and communication, Mr. de la Cruz returns to BiPSU to lead with purpose and vision—bridging the university to the world, and the world to BiPSU.

Congratulations, Mr. de la Cruz! We look forward to your dynamic leadership and continued service.

Through our Cultural Affairs and Development Unit (CADU), we will stage National Arts Month 2025: A Celebration of Dance, Theater, Music, and Art on April 8.

This celebration will showcase captivating performances and artistic expressions in dance, music, theater, and visual arts. Join us at the university gym from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and enjoy a day of creativity and culture.

Meanwhile, the Office of the President has issued Memorandum Order No. 45, directing all school deans, PE faculty, BPEd students, members of performing groups, and all interested faculty to witness the event.
