ChatGPT or Canva AI? Let's talk.
So many of you have been sliding into my DMs asking “what prompt did you use???” — and honestly, I get it. AI image prompts are like cooking. You can follow the recipe, but somehow yours still ends up looking like a Pinterest fail.
Here’s the tea ☕:
When OpenAI finally dropped image prompts, it was like a whole cinematic universe opened up — dramatic lighting, toy figures in trench coats, Barbie dolls as CEOs, cats that look like they own Teslas. But the journey? Oh, it was chaotic. I tested prompts so much I think ChatGPT developed trust issues and said I had “exceeded all limits.” 😂
Meanwhile, Canva AI officially launched yesterday. Only a cool 1 million folks got early access. Guess who stayed up late like it was a sneaker drop? 🙋♀️ Me. And yes, the updates? Chef’s kiss. I’ve used Canva AI a LOT, but one thing I’ve learned: your results will keep changing. Why?
Because AI is basically that one friend who listens to everyone’s opinion. The more info it gets, the more confused it becomes. Sooo here are some hard-learned tips for prompt pros and AI newbies:
Tips to make AI your creative BFF:
- Be very specific. Like, borderline dramatic.
- Don’t upload anything you’re not okay with being remembered forever. AI’s got receipts.
- Be patient. It’s not magic, it's math.
- Experiment until you question your life choices.
- Stay creative. Use AI to enhance, not exploit.
- Don’t be shady. Fake news, deepfakes, etc.? We don’t do that here. ❌
Let's grow with AI, not use it like a cheat code to chaos.
And as promised, here’s the most effective prompt I’ve used for the toy figure Barbie trend — try it out and comment your work.
