ILLEGAL FIREARM TRADE BUSTED: RMFB7 Nets Suspect in Bohol Buy-Bust Operation

A successful buy-bust operation led to the arrest of one individual for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearm) in the early hours of March 24, 2026, at Purok 2, Barangay Cantubod, Danao, Bohol.

Under the leadership of PLTCOL Paterno Lagao Domondon Jr., Force Commander, operatives of the 702nd Maneuver Company, RMFB7, led by PCPT Karl Ferdinand P Mamon, OIC, in coordination with Danao Municipal Police Station under PLT Edwin Joseph S. Silagan, COP, successfully conducted the operation.

The suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto after transacting with an undercover operative for the sale of a firearm.

The arrested individual was properly informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights, including the Miranda Rights and Anti-Torture warnings, in a language known to him. He was subsequently brought to Danao Municipal Police Station, Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) for proper booking and documentation.

This operation underscores PRO7’s intensified campaign against loose fi****ms and highlights RMFB7’s relentless intelligence-driven efforts to combat criminality and ensure public safety in the region. The arrest marks the beginning of formal legal proceedings against the suspect.

WANTED PERSON NABBED: RMFB7 Operatives Arrest Robbery Suspect in Carcar City

A wanted person was successfully arrested by personnel of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7 (RMFB7) by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Robbery with Force Upon Things (Art. 299, par. (a)(1) of the Revised Penal Code), in line with the ongoing Minor Combat Operation.

At around 1:00 PM on March 23, 2026, 703rd Maneuver Company, RMFB7 operatives led by PCPT Mark Vincent S Marquez,Company Commander, in coordination with the tracker team of Dumanjug Municipal Police Station, conducted a focused operation at Sitio Cambuntan, Barangay Bolinawan, Carcar City, Cebu, which resulted in the successful arrest of the accused.

The arrested individual was properly informed of the nature and cause of arrest, as well as his constitutional rights in a language known to him. He was then brought to the operating unit for proper documentation and disposition before being turned over to the court of origin.

This operation highlights the continued commitment of RMFB7 in intensifying its campaign against criminality and ensuring that wanted persons are brought to justice.

The troops of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7 (RMFB7), under the leadership of PLTCOL Paterno L Domondon Jr., Force Commander, were awarded the Medalya ng Kadakilaan (PNP Heroism Medal) by Regional Director PBGEN Redrico A Maranan during the Monday Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremony held at the Police Regional Office 7, Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr., Cebu City.

The award was conferred in recognition of their exceptional bravery, swift response, and unwavering dedication to duty during a high-risk confrontation on March 21, 2026, at Sitio Boloc-boloc, Barangay Sangat, San Fernando, Cebu.

During the operation, one of the RMFB7 personnel, Patrolman Kim Villariaza, sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite his injury, he demonstrated remarkable courage by continuing to assist in the operation—an extraordinary display of heroism, resilience, and selfless service. He is currently confined at Chong Hua Hospital and was visited by the Force Commander earlier today.

San Fernando, Cebu – What started as a routine afternoon turned into a high-risk confrontation when personnel of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7 (RMFB7) responded to a shooting incident on March 21, 2026, at Sitio Boloc-boloc, Barangay Sangat.

At around 4:00 P.M., RMFB7 operatives, led by PCPT Rodney A Bantolo under the supervision of PLTCOL Paterno Lagao Domondon Jr.,Force Commander immediately conducted a joint response with the San Fernando Municipal Police Station, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Naga City Police Station, and Carcar City Police Station.

Prior to their arrival, the suspect had already shot and killed a local vendor engaged in lawful livelihood, prompting an urgent law enforcement response.

Upon reaching the area, operatives encountered the armed suspect barricaded inside a residence who opened fire at responding units. Despite the danger, RMFB7 personnel executed controlled tactical maneuvers to contain the threat, secure the area, and ensure the safety of nearby civilians.

During the exchange of gunfire, Patrolman Kim Villariaza sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite his injury, he refused to withdraw and continued assisting in securing the perimeter, showing exceptional courage and dedication to duty.

As the operation progressed, the suspect set his residence on fire and refused to surrender. The fire quickly engulfed the structure, leading authorities to believe that the suspect perished inside. Investigation and clearing operations are ongoing.

Patrolman Villariaza was immediately evacuated and brought to Carcar City District Hospital, and was later transferred to Chong Hua Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment and remains under observation..

This incident highlights the courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment of RMFB7 personnel who continue to risk their lives to protect the community.

Bravery Under Fire: Wounded Police Officer Honored in San Fernando Operation

A police officer wounded during a high-risk law enforcement operation in Sitio Boloc-boloc, Barangay Sangat, San Fernando, Cebu, is being lauded for his courage and unwavering dedication in the face of armed danger.

Patrolman Kim Ceniza Villaraiza, 28, of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7 (RMFB7), sustained a gunshot wound while responding to an armed encounter with a barricaded suspect on the afternoon of March 21, 2026. The operation was part of a joint hot pursuit effort following a fatal shooting incident earlier that day, involving personnel from San Fernando Municipal Police Station, Carcar City Police Station, Naga City Police Station, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, and RMFB7.

Amid intense gunfire, Patrolman Villaraiza displayed exceptional bravery by holding his position and helping secure the perimeter, ensuring that nearby residents were kept out of harm’s way. His decisive actions contributed significantly to the safe containment of the situation and the protection of civilian lives.

He was immediately evacuated at around 4:00 PM and brought to Cebu Provincial Hospital in Carcar City for initial treatment after sustaining a gunshot wound to his armpit.

Following medical assessment, he was referred to a hospital in Cebu City for further treatment and possible surgical intervention. He is currently under close medical care and in stable condition.

The operation concluded after the suspect, who refused to surrender, set fire to the house where he was barricaded. Authorities confirmed that the situation was brought under control without further casualties, highlighting the professionalism and discipline of the operating units.

Provincial Director PCOL ABUBAKAR UDANG MANGELEN JR. commended the wounded officer’s heroism and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to its personnel. “The courage displayed by our wounded officer embodies the true spirit of service and sacrifice. In the face of imminent danger, he stood firm to protect others. We honor his bravery and assure him and his family of our full support as he recovers,” PCOL Mangelen stated.

The Cebu Police Provincial Office underscores that such acts of valor reflect the daily reality faced by police officers in safeguarding communities. RMFB7 NETS SUSPECT IN ANTI-ILLEGAL FI****MS CAMPAIGN; ONE ARRESTED IN ASTURIAS, CEBU

Upholding its mandate to maintain peace and order, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7,under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Paterno Lagao Domondon Jr., Force Commander conducted a successful implementation of a search warrant that resulted in the arrest of a suspect and recovery of illegal firearm in Brgy. Kaluangan, Asturias, Cebu.

At about 11:10 AM, personnel of the 701st Maneuver Company, RMFB7, led by PCPT Aegie Ibarra Abear , in coordination with Asturias MPS, served the search warrant issued by Hon. Jeffrey James G. Ocang, Vice-Executive Judge of RTC Branch 59, Toledo City.

During the operation, authorities recovered one (1) caliber .38 Smith & Wesson revolver, two (2) live ammunition, and one (1) sling bag. The conduct of the search was carried out in a peaceful and orderly manner, witnessed by barangay officials of the area, ensuring transparency and proper observance of legal procedures.

The arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence will be presented before the issuing court for proper disposition and filing of appropriate charges.

RMFB7 personnel attended a Holy Mass celebrated at the RMFB7 Chapel, Camp Ceperino Genovia, Brgy. Bahay, Sibonga, Cebu on March 19, 2026. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. RMFB7 SCORES ANOTHER MAJOR ARREST,NABS MOST WANTED DRUG SUSPECT IN DANAO CITY

Demonstrating its intensified campaign against criminality, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7, under the leadership of PLTCOL Paterno L Domondon Jr., Force Commander, successfully served a Warrant of Arrest against a Top 10 Most Wanted Person (Provincial Level) and Top 9 Most Wanted Person (Municipal Level) during the conduct of Minor Combat Operation in Danao City, Cebu.

At about 7:30 AM on March 18, 2026, a 54-year-old male, a resident of Brgy. Sta. Rosa, Danao City, Cebu, was arrested at Brgy. Guinacot, Danao City, Cebu by operating troops of the 701st Maneuver Company led by PCPT Aegie I Abear, Company Commander in coordination with the Danao City Police Station.

The arrest was carried out by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Violation of Section 5, Article II of R.A. 9165, with no bail recommended.

After his arrest, the accused was informed of his constitutional rights in accordance with the Miranda Doctrine and was subsequently brought to Danao City Police Station for proper documentation and disposition prior to turnover to the court of origin.
