Viva Forever — Spice Girls (Videoke Version)
From their second studio album, "Spiceworld", was recorded in 1997 and released on November 1, 1997, by the English girl group the Spice Girls.
"Viva Forever", was a pop ballad with R&B and Spanish-style elements and was co-written by the group with Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard, while production was handled by the latter two.
The song's theme is about a summer romance during a holiday vacation and has themes of nostalgia, friendship, and the idea of cherishing memories. The lyrics suggest a desire to hold on to special moments and the feelings associated with them as they discuss recent experiences and memories. It was released as the album's fourth and final single on July 29, 1998, by Virgin Records.
This song was the group's last song performed as a quintet and was delayed due to Halliwell's departure and the Spiceworld Tour. The song performed well on the charts, reaching the top position in the UK Singles Chart and achieving chart success in several other countries. Despite mixed reviews, the song became a commercial success, debuting on the UK Singles Chart and becoming the group's seventh number-one single in the UK. The song was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry and reached number two on the Eurochart Hot 100.
The music video features stop-motion animated elements of the Spice Girls as fairies and a surreal and dreamlike storyline. It was directed by Steve Box and is known for its creative and visually appealing style.
The song is considered one of the Spice Girls' classic hits and is often associated with their era of girl power and pop dominance in the late 1990s. "Viva Forever" remains a beloved track in the Spice Girls' discography and is remembered for its emotional and melodic qualities.
