Plus, lizards are novel – not everyday prey like mice, so cats get extra curious! ✨😸

This was the day when I brought Sunset to the vet to get neutered 🐾✨

Neutering (spaying or castrating) your cats offers several key benefits: it prevents unwanted litters, helping to reduce the number of homeless kittens and easing the burden on shelters; it lowers the risk of certain cancers (such as mammary tumors in females and testicular cancer in males) and reduces uterine infections (pyometra) in females; behavioral issues like spraying, roaming, and aggression—especially in males—are often diminished, making cats calmer and easier to manage indoors; health is generally improved by eliminating the drive to mate, which reduces exposure to fights, traffic accidents, and infectious diseases picked up during roaming; and longevity tends to increase because neutered cats avoid many of these health and safety risks. Overall, neutering contributes to a healthier, safer, and more manageable life for both cats and their owners. 🐾✨

Playfighting is basically cat yoga for bonding 😸😻🐾 - it's where kitties wrestle, pounce, and swat at each other without really hurting anyone. This mock battle routine helps them practice hunting skills, set boundaries, and build trust with each other. Through playfighting, cats learn to read each other's body language, negotiate space, and develop social hierarchy (even if it's just "I'm the boss of the couch" hierarchy 😹). The whole thing is super cute to watch - lots of gentle biting, pawing, and rolling around - and it's essential for keeping cats socially savvy and emotionally healthy!🐾🫶
