An unfortunate ad placement in the UK sparked a wave of online reactions after a McDonald’s “McCrispy” billboard ended up right next to a road sign pointing to a crematorium.
The photo spread quickly, with locals calling it “unlucky timing” and “accidentally insensitive.” After the image went viral, McDonald’s acknowledged the issue and confirmed the billboard would be removed out of respect for the community.
The ad is now gone but the internet is still debating whether it was an honest slip-up or one of the most unintentionally dark marketing moments ever.
