DTI and the John Hay Management Corporation have signed a one-year partnership aimed at expanding opportunities for MSMEs in Camp John Hay through product showcases, market access, skills training, and sustainable livelihood programs.

The agreement includes pine needle and pine cone craft training under the “Breathe Baguio” advocacy, promoting both environmental sustainability and community-based enterprise development.

SSS has started the early rollout of the second tranche of its 2026 pension increase, benefiting around 4.1 million pensioners nationwide.

The increase, originally scheduled for September, took effect June 1 to help pensioners cope with inflation and higher energy costs.

Retirement and disability pensioners will receive a 10% increase, while death and survivor pensioners will receive a 5% increase, according to the SSS.

SSS begins early rollout of 2026 pension increase, providing additional benefits to 4.1 million pensioners nationwide.

SM City Baguio joined the Department of Energy’s nationwide O.N.E. (Oras Natin sa Efficiency: One Hour, One Energy, One Nation) campaign by switching off non-essential lights, underscoring the importance of collective action in energy conservation.

The initiative, backed by Executive Order No. 110, calls on households, businesses, and institutions across the country to turn off non-essential lights and devices from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Saturday.

The goal: reduce peak electricity demand and help cushion the Philippines against volatile global energy markets.

Through the , SM Supermalls has committed to participate weekly across all properties, pairing the symbolic switch-off with ongoing sustainability programs.

The effort highlights how small, everyday actions—like mindful energy use—can contribute to a more sustainable and energy-conscious future for communities nationwide. 🌍💡
