Project car update: Lumang oto man ay may puso rin. :)
Sa mga nakasubaybay sa , mayroon akong munting kwento.
Eto, malapit nang sumakses. Step by the step pala.
November last year I posted on my FB page that I’m looking for a Honda Prelude.
Nag comment si admean Aurick at may binubuo daw si Hen. Agad akong nag DM kay Hen at fellow Type R owner din pala. That weekend, dinalaw ko shop niya at kinausap. The rest is history.
December, we started ordering the parts from US and Japan. He and JP took care of the engine and transmission rebuild, as well as the body paint and other parts.
Pinaka crucial are the suspension components. Ang problema sa Prelude, stand alone platform siya. Pero kinaya naman bilang H-series can be found on the Accord, too.
January, dumating ang mga parts.
February-March, engine and transmission installation, refurbishing of the fuel tank at marami pang iba.
Here comes April and the team’s doing their effort in making Ueno come to life.
Ueno may not be alive for now but I know he has a soul. :D
As to why I chose the Prelude in the sea of Integras and Civics, it's because underrated siya and it's the middle child in the line-up.
To be fair as well, it was never billed to be a performance car. Ang atake nito ay coupe, grand tourer at date car.
Walang Type R, pero may Type S and Type SH na pang Japan lang. Isa pa, as Gran Turismo 1 addict... lamona.
Now that the 6th Generation Prelude is set to launch globally later this year, I think having the 4th is a blessing in disguise.
I hope to have the upcoming Prelude too.
This project is not fast-paced, yan ang natutunan ko. Thanks friends for guiding me.
To the team, thank you. Konti na lang. Let’s go. 🙂
