Position: Technical Support Engineer I
Job Description:
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be a crucial member of our expanding team, playing a pivotal role in delivering exemplary customer support for Internet connectivity, IPTV, and Hardware/Software issues and outages. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues, processing call transactions, and monitoring network and system servers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide exceptional customer support for Internet and IPTV-related issues and outages.
2. Process and log call transactions using designated ticketing system software.
3. Identify solutions to network software and hardware issues.
4. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration.
5. Swiftly understand the root of the problem by asking targeted questions.
6. Track computer and network issues through to resolution within agreed time limits.
7. Guide clients through issue resolution via phone, email, or chat.
8. Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
9. Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
10. Reference internal databases or external resources for precise tech solutions.
11. Ensure accurate logging of all issues.
12. Prioritize and manage multiple open issues simultaneously.
13. Follow up with clients to ensure IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.
14. Prepare accurate and timely reports.
15. Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.
16.Maintain strong relationships with partners and clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Bachelorโs degree in information technology, Computer Science/Engineering, ECE, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a technical support engineer in the ISP/CATV/IT or related field.
3. At least 1 year of hands-on experience in computer networking and system servers.
4. Willingness to learn and thrive in high-pressure environments.
5. Additional certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, Mikrotik, or similar technologies are a plus.
