Sound the Alarm, CDUcians! White Stallions gathered all round at the south atrium today, November 21, 2024, for the arrival of Former Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao.

During his visit, the former senator discussed and advocated about uplifting impoverished students and athletes in the current system and possible ways to abolish corruption in the country.

Vitals Normal, Victory Secured: College of Nursing’s Three-peat Glory! 🏆

Indeed, Nursing is where people are! Blazing red-hot and with triumphs of gold, the College of Nursing trailblaze their way to the top of the podium once again as they wear the title of champion for the third time. Through their athletic prowess and indomitable grit, the College of Nursing proves that they’re not just big on numbers, but on fighting spirit and victory as well.

Moreover, this year was also a witness to the empowering feat of the College of Allied Medical Sciences and College of Dentistry, securing a well-deserved second and third place respectively. Showcasing their unwavering determination and their competitive spirit, both colleges prove that they can also work hard, and play hard!

Together, these achievements serve as a testament to the incredible talent, sportsmanship, and unity of the Cebu Doctors’ University community. White Stallions, Let’s give a resounding cheer to all our participants for their outstanding performances!

Crowning Glory: The Concluding Finale of CDU 2024 Basketball Tournament 🏆

As the final four quarters tick away, anticipation fills the air as the best standing teams fight for the most-awaited championship basketball event. This is the day when we celebrate the finest teams as they clash for glory and where we witness the loudest cheers. Who do you think made it to the top three? And which team do you think has won the overall CDU’s Basketball Championship 2024?

The most exhilarating conclusion to this year’s basketball season ends once again for the Red Nation– the College of Nursing, as they took home the gold in a high-stakes showdown. With fierce competition from the College of Dentistry, stepping on to the silver pedestal, taking the 1st runner-up award. But let’s not forget the College of Rehabilitative Sciences, the overall 2nd runner-up, whose deep dedication earned them the third-place slot.

Two special MVP awards were being awarded to two valued and star players. The College of Dentistry’s Zoe Taclay also took home the Season MVP title, while the Finals MVP title went to Rezald Joshua Dacalos from the well-known College of Nursing. Both winners donned matching jerseys, each proudly featuring the number eight (8).

This year’s basketball championship is truly unforgettable, filled with numerous highlights, jubilant and sensational moments. One thing’s for certain—next CDU’s basketball season will be just as electrifying and spectacular as this year’s.

Champion’s Slam Dunk!

As the final buzzer echoed through the court, the mighty roars of the White Stallions filled the air. Each sprint, each shot, and each heart-pounding moment was a testament to their unwavering passion and dedication. A true battle of champions.

This year’s University Week was a whirlwind of excitement, filled with jaw-dropping plays and nail-biting finishes. The stage was set, the drama was real, and the champions were crowned.

While University Week may be over, the journey continues. Let’s keep the fire burning, White Stallions!

A blood of gold! 🥇

It may be the start of the week but it has been the end of another year’s tournament of intense battling for a spike to the top. Stallions, let’s all hail our top setters from both sides of the red spectrum who rallied their way to victory.

As the doors may have already closed, we commend the astounding fighting spirit of every player who battled it out and exerted their all for their respective departments.

Indeed, CDU’s Volleyball Tournament just gets a little intense and hotter every year. With that, see you in next year’s battle in the court! Will the champs block new hands from claiming the title or new spikers will burn the court?

Kickoff: Goal is to ‘Goal’! 🥅

With a swift kick, the ball takes flight—spinning and rolling, making the crowd gasp at the sight. Breaths held and roared still as the ball met the ground. Each bounce and spin carries the weight of hope and tension, as if the ball itself knows the dreams it holds. Yet, in the end, only one prevailed and hailed as Football Champions.

The battle intensified between the two teams, the College of Dentistry and the College of Nursing, as they reached the championship. Fans from both colleges gathered with hope and excitement, cheering for their teams.

Seno from the College of Dentistry exclaimed, “We will do our best to win and bounce back,” before the start of the game. At the sound of the whistle, the match kicked off with full force and energy, as both sides displayed a spirited fight, making rapid passes and executing effective plays.

As the match progressed, the tension escalated. By the end, the College of Nursing scored a fantastic goal that sent its fans into a frenzy. After the final whistle, Cambalon stated, “Prayers, trust, teamwork, and consistency—everything was worth it!”

Indeed, their victory was more than just reflected in the scoreboard, but it also showcased the skills exhibited and the unbreakable bonds formed on the field in their quest to become ‘Champions’.

Lectures may be going on, but the cheers continue to roar out the campus. As the championships for Volleyball finally adjourn, the College of Nursing (Men) and Rehabilitative Sciences (Women) take each of their sweet tastes of victory.

Throughout the week, friendships blossomed and the trailblaze of sportsmanship made a mark! Take these into heart, White Stallions, and may the best team emerge victorious!
