A total of 103 students were conferred graduates of Master in Legal Studies - Juris Doctor Program at the Mary Ngo Auditorium on Friday, June 5.
The ceremony began with a Baccalaureate Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Ryan Janelle Salvacion, who reminded the graduates during his homily that earning a degree should be more than an academic achievement.
In his welcome remarks, Paul Leonard Balame, REE, RME, described the milestone as a defining chapter in the institutionโs history, saying, โAs pioneers, we have opened a new path for those who follow, and our names will forever be part of this institutionโs history.โ
A highlight of the event was the commencement address delivered by Atty. Leo S. Giron, who discussed the Master in Legal Studies as a LADDERโLegal Foundation, Academic Growth, Degree Pathway, Dynamic Training, Excellence, and Rigorous Studies. Following his speech, a plaque of appreciation was presented to the guest speaker in recognition of his valuable contribution.
The graduates were formally presented by Atty. Felma Freda L. Lopez, MBA, Dean of the Faculty of Law, before the official conferral of degrees by Eunice T. Tudtud Pagatpat, MBA, School President. The awarding of diplomas was conducted by members of the Board of Trustees and Academic Heads, marking the culmination of years of hard work and academic achievement.
Representing the graduating class, Michelle M. Amante, CPA, delivered the words of gratitude, expressing appreciation to their professors for teaching not only the Constitution and the law but also the values of determination, discipline, and perseverance. She acknowledged their guidance and unwavering belief in the graduatesโ ability to succeed.
The ceremony concluded with alumni oath taking, pledge of loyalty, graduation song, alma mater hymn, and recessional, signifying both an ending and a new beginning for the graduates.
