A Self-Awareness Seminar and Workshop was conducted on December 14, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM headed by the Guidance Officials. This is part of the Yielding Against Crisis As Peers (YACAP) Members' training in becoming Mental Health Allies and Peer Counselors of Philippine College Foundation (PCF).

The Philippine College Foundation (PCF) conducted a Su***de Prevention and Awareness Campaign with the theme: “Creating Hope Through Action” headed by the Guidance and Counseling Office together with the Yielding Against Crisis As Peers (YACAP) Members, the envisioned organization of Peer Facilitators on November 16, 2023 at Purok 4 and Purok 6, Philippine College Foundation.

In celebration of the Su***de Prevention and Awareness Month, the Guidance and Counseling together with the Yielding Against Crisis As Peers (YACAP) which is the office’s right hand under the Student Affairs and Services (SAS) will conduct homeroom facilitation which highlights the power of friendship and support system for Grades 1-6, and address the rampant yet subtle issues of su***de for Grades 7-10 at Purok 4, Philippine College Foundation on November 16, 2023.

Empowering the members of the Guidance and Counseling envisioned organization to participate in such movement by exposing them to become allied mental health advocates, and taking advantage to prevent unhealthy coping mechanisms of students while still acquiring young and uncorrupted minds are of the main goals of implementing this campaign.

Flyers, bookmarks, tarpaulin, and treats will also be distributed as well as to Purok 6, Philippine College Foundation. Words of assurance and pledge of commitment will also be imposed to the students for a solid oath of protecting themselves and their significant others from any self-harm and/or risky behavior.

After a long month of screening, the Guidance and Counseling office would like to congratulate the 22 out of 53 YACAP aspirants. You’ve shown your commitment, determination and eagerness to be a helping hand in dealing with students’ differing struggles. Looking forward to a meaningful bond and service for this envisioned school organization.

Heads up, PCFians!

As a crucial component of overall wellbeing especially that the midterm examination just ended, mental health deserves the same consideration and care as physical health. Here at Philippine College Foundation, we take your mental health seriously.

With this, the Office of Guidance and Counseling, will be conducting a Mental Health Seminar this October 13, 2023 with the theme: "Mental Health is a Universal Human Right", in celebration of the global mental health month.

Note: This is open to everyone but all first year and NSTP students are REQUIRED to attend the event.

Headed by the Guidance and Counselling Office (G&C) in partnership with the Student Affairs and Services (SAS), through its unwavering service, this assures that students will reach their holistic potential.
