Life is not merely about living with the mindset of “you only live once” or consoling yourself with the thought of “at least I tried.” True living is far deeper than that. It is not about leaving everything to chance, nor is it about carelessly embracing the belief that “whatever will be, will be.” Your future is not a game of luck—it is the fruit of your choices, the reflection of your discipline, and the outcome of your decisions.

Every path you take today determines the place where you will stand tomorrow. Some mistakes may be corrected, but others leave permanent marks—reminders that not every opportunity comes twice. Life often gives us only one shot at greatness, one chance to seize a blessing that may never return again. That is why each decision must be weighed with wisdom, guided with foresight, and entrusted to prayer.

Think about it carefully. Plan for it wholeheartedly. Pray for it sincerely. In doing so, you align yourself with purpose, with strength, and with grace. The position you hold today, the success you now enjoy, is not an accident—it is a testament to the choices you made, the sacrifices you embraced, and the courage you carried along the way.

You deserve where you are today because you chose it. You dared to walk a path that others feared, and you believed when others doubted. And so, let this be your reminder: life will not hand you greatness by chance. It is you who must decide for the better, act with intention, and walk with conviction. For in the end, your life is the masterpiece of your decisions, and the legacy you leave will be the proof that you lived with purpose.

In Evan's Almighty the flood is the result of corruption, negligence, and ignoring responsibility by a group of crooked CONGRESMEN.

The flood is symbolic as well as literal. It happens because:

Corruption – Congressman Chuck Long pushed through the land development project for profit.

Negligence – Safety concerns about the flood control dam were ignored in favor of money and politics.

Irresponsibility – Those in power chose self-interest instead of protecting the people and environment.

That’s why God asks Evan to build the ark: not only to save lives, but to teach a lesson about integrity, stewardship, and choosing what’s right over what’s easy.

"RESILIENCE SHOULD NOT BE OUR PERMANENT STATE, IT SHOULD BE OUR BRIDGE TOWARDS A BETTER FUTURE FOR EVERY FILIPINO."

Just because we Filipinos are resilient does not mean that we should remain in the same difficult conditions forever. Yes, resilience is a strength, but it should not be used as an excuse for a broken system or poor governance. We cannot keep glorifying survival when what we truly deserve is progress, security, and a dignified way of life. Our ability to adapt and endure challenges must be matched with real reforms, accountability, and a system that genuinely works for the people. Resilience should not be our permanent state—it should be our bridge towards building a stronger, fairer, and better future for every Filipino.

The devastating floods that now submerge almost every major city in the Philippines are not merely the wrath of nature, but the product of deep-rooted corruption. For decades, billions of pesos have been allocated for flood control projects, dredging rivers, constructing proper drainage systems, and building resilient infrastructure. Yet, time and again, these funds vanish into the pockets of corrupt officials and their favored contractors.

Instead of sturdy floodways and durable drainage, what the public often gets are half-baked projects, substandard materials, or worse, projects that exist only on paper. Communities are left defenseless, and when the rains come, the streets turn into rivers, homes are destroyed, and livelihoods are swept away.

Meanwhile, the very contractors entrusted to safeguard the people’s welfare proudly flaunt their newfound wealth. They drive luxury cars, live in mansions, and indulge in extravagant lifestyles, all funded by taxpayers’ money. Each flood is a reminder that while ordinary citizens wade through waist-deep waters, those responsible for their suffering are living in comfort and excess.

This cycle of greed and negligence continues to drown the nation. It is not the lack of resources that leaves cities underwater, but the lack of integrity. Unless accountability is enforced and corruption rooted out, floods in the Philippines will never simply be a natural disaster, they will remain a man-made tragedy.
