✨Filipino’s Favourite Holiday Dessert✨
The Leche Flan 🍮 aka Crème Caramel
Recipe:
7 Whole Eggs
1 Can Condensed Milk
1 Can Evaporated Milk
2 drops of Vanilla Extract
1 Cup White Sugar (For the caramel topping)
Instructions:
In a bowl, crack the 7 whole eggs and beat them using a fork or a mixer.
Add your 1 can of condensed milk and mix thoroughly.
Next, pour in your 1 can of evaporated milk and vanilla essence. Mix well.
To do your caramel,
Turn your stove on, with low heat.
Using your pan, pour in your 1 cup of white sugar mix thoroughly until it melts and turns into caramel.
When finished, pour in an enough amount of caramel on your mold. (You can use an aluminum foil pan) and spread the caramel evenly on the flat side of your pan.
Now your pan is ready,
Pour in a good amount of mixture into your pan.
Cover the top of your pan using an aluminum foil.
If you have a steamer,
Fill the pot with a small amount of water and place a steamer basket.
Steam the pan, for 30-35 minutes. Low-Medium Heat.
After steaming, let the pan cool down then refrigerate.
For oven baked,
Preheat oven to 350F
Pour boiling water into the roasting tray until water level reached 1 to 1 1/2 inches.
Bake the leche flan for 50 minutes.
Remove from the oven, let it cool down.
Then refrigerate.
Transfer to a serving plate.
Now you got a yummy homemade dessert!
