Native to the waters around the Galápagos Islands and Peru, the Red Lipped Batfish is one of the strangest-looking fish in the sea, famous for its bright red lips and unusual body shape.
Instead of swimming like most fish, it uses its modified fins to “walk” across the seabed while searching for small fish, shrimp, and crustaceans.
This bizarre creature also has a special lure on its head that helps attract prey in the dark ocean floor environment.
