MANAGOT ANG DAPAT MANAGOT! JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED!
This was not an accident.
This was NEGLIGENCE.
When the same tragedy happens again and again, it stops being bad luck. It becomes a failure, a failure to protect life. No profit, no schedule, no business interest should ever come before a human being.
In 2023, passengers aboard M/V Lady Mary Joy 3—traveling from Zamboanga City to Jolo—faced terror when fire engulfed the vessel near Baluk-Baluk Island, Basilan. At least 33 lives were lost. Families were forever changed.
Three years later, in 2026, the sea claimed again. M/V Trisha Kerstin 3, on the same route, sank in the same waters. Loved ones were left waiting on the shore—hoping, praying, searching.
Some are still missing.
Some will never come home.
Innalillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun.
These are not isolated disasters. They form a PATTERN, and that pattern has names, faces, and families behind it.
For the people of Zamboanga, Basilan, Jolo, and Tawi-Tawi, ships are not a luxury. They are lifelines. Every day, workers, students, parents, and children trust these vessels with their lives. Aleson Shipping Lines profits from this trust—and with it comes an undeniable duty: to ensure every ship is safe, every journey seaworthy, and every life protected.
When safety is treated as optional, when accountability is postponed or ignored, people die.
This responsibility does not end with one company. Authorities and regulators must answer for what they allowed to continue. And we, as the public, must refuse to normalize grief, silence, and repetition.
These were people.
Not statistics.
Not cargo.
We demand SAFETY.
We demand ACCOUNTABILITY.
Boycott until safety truly comes first.

This warning did not begin in 2023.
In 2016, M/V Danica Joy 2, also under Aleson Shipping Lines, capsized at Zamboanga Port due to improper cargo unloading. Passengers survived only because they had already disembarked. That should have been the wake-up call.
