Penitential Walk for Mercy and Repentance | Let us come together in faith as we join this year’s Penitential Walk, offering every step as a sincere prayer for transparency, accountability, and good governance in our community and beyond.

As we walk in humility, may our hearts be opened to conversion and our voices united in hope for leaders who serve with integrity, honesty, and compassion.

May this act of penance remind us that true change begins with us, through prayer, reflection, and the courage to stand for what is just and right. Together, let us journey toward a future where truth prevails, fairness leads, and service to the people remains at the center of every decision.

Feast of St. Martin of Tours, Bishop

Today, we honor St. Martin of Tours, a humble soldier turned saint whose life shines with compassion, generosity, and unwavering faith. Born into a life of privilege and power, Martin chose instead the path of simplicity and service, embodying the true spirit of Christian charity.

The most famous story of St. Martin reminds us of his selfless love: one cold winter night, he saw a beggar shivering on the roadside. Without hesitation, Martin cut his military cloak in half and shared it with the man. That very night, Christ appeared to him in a dream, wearing the same cloak, saying, "Martin, still a catechumen, has covered me with his garment."

Today, may we be inspired by his example, to open our hearts to those in need, to serve without seeking reward, and to let kindness be our daily mission.

St. Martin of Tours, Bishop, pray for us that we may become instruments of God’s love and peace in our world today.
