Psalm 144:3-4
Rejoicing in GOD’s care. Whether in times of prosperity or adversity, blessed are those whose GOD YAHWEH is the LORD.
3 O LORD, what are human beings that you should notice them, mere mortals that you should think about them? 4 For they are like a breath of air; their days are like a passing shadow.
Life is short. David reminds us that it is “like a breath” and that our “days are like a passing shadow.” James (in the Scriptures) says that our life is “like the morning fog - it’s here a little while, and then it’s gone” (James 4:14). Because life is short, we should live for GOD while we have the time. Don’t waste your life by selecting an inferior purpose that has no lasting and eternal value. Living for GOD is the only way to make your life worthwhile, purposeful, and meaningful.
In our rebelliousness and sinfulness, the LORD our GOD still care for us (the humanity). HIS plan for our salvation from our depravity is perfect and sure, so that, everyone should have eternal life instead of being burn in hell without end. However, our salvation isn't simple and without a price for HE HIMSELF, HIS BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS CHRIST (YESHUA HAMASHIACH) died on the Cross paying for our sins, not only for a better earthly life (living high moral values) but for a Life Eternal. However, like David, we have to accept the fact that the LORD JESUS is our salvation, and no matter our state and position in life, we have no way of saving ourselves but in the LORD alone (Luke 17:33; Matthew 16:35). Like David, where he took time seeking that is eternal and daily seeking GOD YAHWEH through the Scriptures, and never in his life that the "WORD of GOD" becomes "toxic" in his ears (Psalm 119:11,47). Is the WORD of GOD has become toxic in your daily life, or a daily delight refreshing your soul? Be therefore encouraged, for HE said, "seek first the Kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness and everything shall be added (given, enhanced, rewarded) to you" (Matthew 6:33). So, even the LORD HIMSELF tells us that as we seek and believe HIM, HE will give us Eternal Life (John 6:39,40).
