The Department of Poultry Science, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, organized a graceful prize distribution ceremony to honor the winners of various competitions held in connection with World Egg Day. The ceremony was presided over by Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, who distributed prizes among the students showing remarkable performance in Egg Cooking, Egg Art, and Egg Eating Competitions, and appreciated their enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication.

It is indeed a commendable initiative by the worthy Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran⁩ to encourage and appreciate not only students but also teachers for performing up to the mark. For instance, the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, under the dynamic leadership of Dean Prof Dr Khalid Mansoor secured the first position awarded by ORIC, reflecting the faculty’s excellence and teamwork. On one hand, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran is recognizing and motivating hardworking teachers, chairmen, and deans for their academic contributions; on the other, he is actively visiting departments, ensuring the presence of faculty in offices, and pushing for higher academic standards. With such consistent leadership and vision, there is no doubt that the academic performance of the university will rise manifold in the near future.

In order to bring the educational standards to the international level in all the campuses of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, a training workshop on the topic of clear objectives and result-oriented educational programs (Outcome Based Education Framework) is being organized under the auspices of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran. In this regard, today at Rahim Yar Khan campus, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran gave a special lecture to the teachers of the campus and the principals and faculty of affiliated colleges and compared the results and objectives-based educational programs and traditional teaching. He discussed in detail the purposeful teaching method according to the standards of the Higher Education Commission and global trends. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran expressed his views on the modern trends in teaching and learning, the aim of which is to provide clear and result-oriented long-term education to the students. He said that the quality of education and teaching in affiliated colleges should also be brought at par with the campus. For the same purpose, teachers of affiliated colleges have also been invited to enhance their capacity and introduce them to modern teaching methods. Director Quality Enhancement Cell Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madani said that the aim of this activity, organized on the instructions of the Vice Chancellor, is to inform the heads of teaching departments of all campuses and affiliated colleges about modern teaching methods at the beginning of the academic session so that the teaching system of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur can be formed according to modern trends and students can benefit from high-quality education. On this occasion, President of Private Colleges Association Faisal Nadeem appreciated the increase in teaching standards in affiliated colleges and the start of training programs for teachers. Director Campus Rahim Yar Khan Dr. Sohail Sharif thanked the Vice Chancellor for visiting the campus and providing special training and lectures to the faculty.

While marking World Teachers’ Day, Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, paid rich tribute to the teaching community, stating that teachers are the true spiritual leaders of society who not only impart knowledge but also guide their students towards a purposeful and ethical life. He emphasized that the progress of any nation rests upon the dedication, sincerity, and vision of its teachers. Prof. Dr. Robina Bhatti, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, highlighted the pivotal role teachers play in polishing the skills, character, and intellectual capacity of their students, enabling them to become productive members of society. Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman Department of Social Work, acknowledged the continuous collaboration between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD), particularly in initiatives supporting flood-affected communities and youth development programs. He underscored the moral responsibility of teachers to guide students toward the path of virtue and righteousness. Concluding the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran distributed commendation certificates among Deans, Chairpersons, Faculty Members, and Administrative Staff of the University in recognition of their outstanding contributions to teaching, research, and nation-building.

A delegation comprising Director Transmission City News Network Lahore Mr. Shahzad Zaidi, Director Research and Planning Mr. Awais Jamshaid, Controller News Rohi Mr. Karam Elahi Gondal, Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain, Associate Professor Department of Media and Communication Studies, and Dr. Shahzad Ahmad Khalid, Director Press, Media and Publications, called on the Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, in his office. Mr. Waseem Ahmad Siddique, Executive Secretary to Vice-Chancellor, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the evolving landscape of media, with particular focus on the rise of digital platforms and their impact on traditional media. The City News Network team expressed their full support to the Vice Chancellor in enhancing internship and employability opportunities for IUB students. He was warmly received by the host Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Kalsoom Paracha, who expressed her gratitude for his valuable presence and encouragement extended to the faculty and students. The event was also graced by Mr. Ajmal Khan Chandia, Parliamentary Secretary for Higher Education, Punjab, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ramzan, Vice Chancellor of Emerson University Multan.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran commended the innovative and technology-driven ideas showcased by the participants.
