4 اگست یوم شہداء کے سلسلے میں ضلعی پولیس انتظامیہ کی طرف سے منعقدہ تقریب میں شرکت کی، جہاں انہوں نے خیبرپختونخوا پولیس کے شہداء کو زبردست خراجِ عقیدت پیش کیا۔

تقریب میں ڈپٹی کمشنر بٹگرام ، ڈی پی او بٹگرام تحصیل چیرمین عطاء اللہ خان ترند ، سابق تحصیل ناظم نیاز محمد خان ترند ، سابقہ ایم پی اے نوابزادہ ولی محمد خان و دیگر افسرانِ ضلعی انتظامیہ، تاجر برادری کے نمائندگان، ممبران پریس کلب، معززینِ شہر اور طلباء کی بڑی تعداد نے بھی شرکت کی۔ مقررین نے پولیس کے شہداء کی قربانیوں کو سلام پیش کرتے ہوئے انہیں قوم کے حقیقی ہیرو قرار دیا۔

صوبائی حکومت کے احکامات پر ڈپٹی کمشنر بٹگرام اشتیاق احمد نے ڈسٹرکٹ پولیس آفیسر بٹگرام محمد ایاز سابقہ تحصیل ناظم نیاز محمد خان ترند، ، ایڈیشنل ڈپٹی کمشنر (ریلیف اینڈ ہیومن رائٹس) بٹگرام ،ڈی ایف او محکمہ جنگلات /واٹر شیڈ اور دیگر افسران کے ہمراہ کا مون سون شجرکاری مہم کے سلسلے میں سی پیک پر مختلف مقامات پر پودے لگائے۔
تمام افسران نے شجرکاری کے اس مرحلے میں (CPEC) کے کنارے پھلدار پودے لگائے، جن میں مختلف اقسام کے مقامی پھلوں کے درخت شامل ہیں۔ ان پودوں کا مقصد نہ صرف ماحول کو سرسبز بنانا ہے بلکہ مقامی لوگوں کو ماحولیاتی اور معاشی فائدہ بھی پہنچانا ہے۔

ڈپٹی کمشنر اشتیاق احمد نے اس موقع پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ سی پیک پر آنے والے مسافروں اور سیاحوں کے لیے درخت نہ صرف ایک خوشگوار ماحول پیدا کریں گے بلکہ یہ سبز مناظر ان کی تھکن کو بھی کم کریں گے۔ ہماری کوشش ہے کہ نہ صرف شجرکاری ہو بلکہ درختوں کی حفاظت اور نگہداشت کو بھی یقینی بنایا جائے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پھلدار درختوں کا انتخاب اس لیے کیا گیا تاکہ عوام کو براہِ راست فائدہ پہنچے اور شجرکاری عوامی دلچسپی کا باعث بنے۔
محکمہ جنگلات اور واٹرشیڈ حکام نے بتایا کہ مون سون سیزن میں ضلع بھر میں شجرکاری کے تحت ہزاروں پودے لگانے کا ہدف مقرر کیا گیا ہے، جن میں زیادہ تر پودے مقامی اور موسمیاتی حالات سے ہم آہنگ ہوں گے۔
