مندرہ تا چکوال ریلوے لائن کو بحال کیا جائے۔
پنڈ داخلی ہراج(نیوز ڈیسک )۔مندرہ تا چکوال ریلوے لائن کی تاریخ یعنی (Histry )کی بات کی جائے تو بہت ہی پرانی ہے۔
As the Potohar region particularly the district of Chakwal has been martial area for ages, the British rulers laid down the railway track here in the early 20th century. The track was laid down in three stretches. On May 1, 1915, the 44.04-km-long Mandra-Dhudial section was opened while the Dhudial-Chak-Naurang and Chakwal-Bhoun sections were opened on June 1, 1915, and January 15, 1916, respectively. The track was the sole source of transportation for the people of the area and remained so till the early 1980s.

When I took the charge as the station master of the Bhoun Railway Station in 1986, the number of passengers was very thin. Sometimes hardly a ticket was sold but the train had to run irrespective of the number of passengers,148 recalls Sheikh Iqbal. 147The train used to take four to five hours to reach Rawalpindi while the passenger vans would only take one-and-a-half hour to cover the distance.That was why people started preferring the passenger vans,he added.
جب 1993میں نواز شریف اقتدار میں آئے۔تو ان کی کابینہ کے خوراک و زراعت کے وزیر عبدالمجید ملک نے ریلوے لائن کو خریدا اور میاں محمد نواز شریف کی اتفاق فونڈری کو بیچ دیا۔جب مشرف نے میاں محمد نواز شریف کا تختہ الٹا اور اقتدار پر قبضہ کیا۔
During the Musharraf era when Chakwal saw an industrial change as cement plants were set up in the district, a hope for the revival of the Mandra-Bhoun railway track rekindled when in 2007 the then district nazim Sardar Ghulam Abbas requested President Musharraf for restoring the track during a public meeting at Choa Saidan Shah. The transportation of cement from Salt Range to different areas of the country and coal from Karachi to these cement plants was considered easy by the train. Later, on the directive of Musharraf, the then federal minister for railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed visited Chakwal on June 26, 2007.Later in 2010, the Supreme Court formed a commission and directed it to submit a report on the condition of the railway track and other infrastructure. 147We visited the track and found that a lot of land had been encroached while the buildings of the railway stations crumbled,148 senior lawyer Haroon Irshad Janjua, who being the general secretary of the Chakwal Bar Association assisted the commission. 147After the submission of the report, the apex court also issued a directive to the authorities for the revival of the track,148 he added.
مندرہ تا چکوال ریلوے لائن چکوال کی عوام کا دیرینہ مطالبہ ہے۔چکوال کی عوام نے میاں محمد نواز شریف کو 2013 کے قومی الیکشن میں بھاری اکژیت سے کامیاب کیا۔اور حالیہ 31اکتوبر کے بلدیاتی الیکشن میں بھی کامیا ب کیا ہے۔چکوال کی عوام وزیر اعظم پاکستان جناب میاں محمد نواز شریف اوروزیراعلی پنجاب میاں محمدشبہازشریف سے مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ مندرہ تا چکوال ریلوے لائن کو جلد از جلد بحال کیاجائے۔
