My Strategy for Finding Clients:
First of all, you should have an agency website. A 5-page agency website can be built for around 10,000 to 15,000 PKR.
I created my agency website based in Dubai and also made a Google My Business (GMB) account to appear more original. Additionally, I created a business WhatsApp number with a Dubai area code. You can also use an LLC, but in the beginning, we will focus only on the agency website.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I specialize in managing transportation businesses and know everything about their online presence.
Therefore, my focus in today’s guide will be solely on this industry.
I use GMB to find clients, targeting businesses that either do not have a website or whose website is poorly designed. I simply look up major websites in this market that rank for top keywords.
Before pitching any client, I take screenshots of the designs from these websites and AHREF and include them in my subject line:
“I can design your website better than your (Competitor) For Free.”
(I use my business email to send emails; I don’t use any tools or templates.)
Now, any somewhat technical client will realize that you are approaching them after thorough research, and your response rate will significantly increase. Moreover, since you’re offering to design for free, the response rate is usually quite good.
As soon as you receive a reply, immediately bring them to a Zoom meeting. Show them on AHREF how much their competitor is earning because of a good website design.
Then, show them 8 to 10 websites from the same area, display different pages of these websites, and explain the importance of these pages. I believe that no one can tell a story better than Pakistanis. 🥲
After showing everything, tell them you will design 5 pages for them for free because you really enjoy this field. I have been managing transportation businesses worldwide for the past 8 years, and I love it (I say it just like this).
Now, the person who either does not have a website or has a poor website will not be foolish enough to let your hard work go to waste.
People in these countries are not so ungrateful that they would not pay for something done for their business for free. There’s a 60 to 70% chance that they will pay you for this design, and after that, you can introduce your other services for sale.
By this time, they will start to trust you because of your work and effort, making it easier for you to sell your other skills.
In my previous post, there were some questions that were asked repeatedly:
What tool do you use for emails?
If you have created a template, please share it.
Where do you scrape the data from?
What is the response rate? Etc., etc.
Regarding the first two questions, I am strongly against them.
My team and I do not send more than 10 emails daily. Even those 10 emails are crafted after extensive research, with each client getting a unique subject line based on the current state of their website.
Pre-prepared templates, thousands of dead email addresses, and then thinking that all this can be put into one tool and expecting a response is quite naive.
Active data, active clients, active businesses, and active GMBs can only be found through research.
I know this method is labor-intensive, whereas data can also be obtained from the market, pre-made templates are available, and there are various tools that can send thousands of emails with one click.
However, based on personal experience, I can tell you that I have tried these methods too, but the responses I got from this hard work are unlikely to be matched by those other methods.
I hope all your questions have been clarified.
Once again, I sincerely thank you for your overwhelming love, and I hope you find this strategy as helpful as the last one. ❤️
