Geology Field Trip to Kohat – A Memorable Experience 🪨🌍

We had a great 2-day field trip to Kohat with our whole Geology department, guided by our respected HOD Dr. Mostafa Yaar Sir and Coordinator Dr. Asad Khan Sir. It was a special experience filled with learning, teamwork, and beautiful views.

During the trip, we visited many important rock formations:
🔹 Kohat Limestone
🔹 Shekhan Limestone
🔹 Murree Formation
🔹 Chichali Formation
🔹 Patala Formation
🔹 Samana Suk Formation
🔹 Lockhart Formation

We also saw fossils, foraminifera, and learned about different faults and folds. These features helped us understand the history of the Earth and how rocks are formed and changed over time.

This trip helped us connect classroom knowledge with real-world geology. We learned a lot, enjoyed every moment with our classmates, and made some amazing memories together!
