PMB’s role of providing accurate and verified news via identified and trustworthy sources has never been more important. The following document explains the fundamentals of the Agency’s rules on sourcing and how we should manage relationships with sources. Our Story

History

The programme was launched in April 2004, and focused on the popular news stories on the Pmb News, as well as the Internet as a whole. In February 2018, Pmb News won a Royal Television Society award for its innovative approach to news and for letting "the public rather than the news editor set the agenda.” The programme was streamed live through the YouTube, and whilst the television programme went to a commercial break, Stanford would give the online audience additional content.

On 8 January 2018, PMB NEW become PAKISTAN MEDIA BUREAU GROUP OF CHANNELS (in line with a web address change for PMB News, which has since been superseded by https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKT3hFG3wz2wzS9gQBjHmxA?view_as=subscriber and moved to the 7pm slot each weekday, running until 7.30pm. The show previously ran from 7.30-8pm Tuesday to Friday.

On 1 August 2017, Asher Rafique (Founder of Pakistan Media Bureau Networks) announced via his Twitter page that the show had been axed and would cease broadcasting on August 10, 2018
