Graphic design isn’t just making things look pretty; it’s problem-solving, storytelling, and sometimes, struggling through creative blocks. But that’s the process. The messy, imperfect, and very human process.

Typography has its own vocabulary, and understanding these terms can help you see fonts in a whole new way.

I still remember the day when I was learning design, watching a video of one of my favorite designers (total inspo!). She casually dropped words like apex, terminal, crossbar, and I had NO clue what she was talking about, haha!

Fast forward to now, I’ve put together a simple carousel for all the beginners out there. Trust me, it’ll make those tricky typography terms a lot easier!

A few weeks ago, I shared that I was applying to a design academy. But there was one challenge... a test.

Not just any test, but one that would decide if I got in. And with hundreds of applicants competing for just 20 seats, I knew it wasn’t going to be easy.

I took the test, waited, and hoped. And today, I can finally say… I got selected! 🔥

Now, I get to learn more, improve more, and grow more in a space dedicated to design. It still feels surreal. When you’re passionate about something, moments like these remind you why you started in the first place.

For anyone out there chasing a goal, keep going. Even when it feels uncertain, even when the odds seem small. You never know what’s on the other side.

Designers, we've all been there...

From "Make it pop!" to "I can get it cheaper!" client dialogues that slowly but surely... kìll a designer 💀.

1. Make it pop (Because magic happens with a snap.)

2. I can design it myself, but I don't have the time (Sure, and YouTube tutorials make everyone a designer overnight.)

3. You're charging too much, I can get it done cheaper (Then why are you still here?)

4. I'll send the payment after the work (The designer's trust fall... that never ends well.)

5. Can you give a quick sketch or sample first? (Ah yes, we're totally free to provide the samples, because preparing a sample takes literally no time... right?)

Consistency is messy!

Some days, you’ll be on fire with ideas. Other days, you’ll feel stuck. And that’s okay.

Consistency isn’t about perfection; it’s about persistence. Even small, imperfect steps still count as progress.

The key? Keep going even when things aren’t perfect. Progress isn’t linear, it’s full of highs and lows, wins and struggles. The important thing is that you don’t stop.

So if you’ve ever felt guilty for not keeping up, BREATH Your best work comes when you allow yourself space to grow, not when you force yourself to keep up.

✨ Consistency is about showing up, not burning out. Keep moving forward, even if it’s one step at a time.
