Urgent Appeal to the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan
My name is Tariq Wazir, and I am from Gilgit-Baltistan. I was traveling from Gilgit to Islamabad by car (registration number BMG-115) with my friends.
When we reached Babusar Top, around 10 armed people stopped us and robbed us. They took all our belongings, including my passport and CNIC card. I have an international flight on 2 September because I have to travel abroad for my studies.
At the moment, I have no passport or CNIC, and I am extremely worried that I will miss my flight and face serious problems with my studies.
I request the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan and the relevant authorities to take immediate action against those responsible for this robbery and help me obtain an emergency/replacement passport and necessary documents so I can travel for my studies.
I also request the media to highlight this incident and help bring attention to the security situation at Babusar Top.
Please help me. This is extremely urgent.
