End of an Era || Chipursan’s Last Toyota Troopy 40 Series Retires
A Tribute to the Machine That Moved More Than Just People It Moved Generations.
In the heart of Chipursan Valley, a humble yet heroic chapter has come to a close. The iconic Toyota Land Cruiser Troopy 40 Series the last of its kind in the valley has now retired, leaving behind a trail of memories, stories and silent gratitude.
This wasn't just a vehicle.
It was a lifeline for the community a shield against the harshest winters, a connector of people, a companion through countless storms. For decades, the Troopy didn’t just drive on rugged roads; it drove the progress of a remote valley tucked deep in the mountains.
Before 2000, transportation was a test of endurance open jeeps, bone-chilling winds and unyielding terrain. In these difficult times, the late Rozi Bai brought the first Troopy to Chipursan, and with it, a sense of relief and hope. It was a symbol of resilience and modernity.
Following his lead, Sharif Uddin and the late Ghufran added to the fleet, bridging villages, transporting dreams and serving without fail — through blizzards, floods and silence.
As time advanced, roads improved and newer, more comfortable vehicles took over.
But nothing could replace the spirit of the Troopy reliable, rugged and always ready.
Today, the last Troopy of Chipursan, once owned by late Ghufran, has completed its final journey.
It carried laughter, love, tears, and trust. It witnessed weddings, emergencies and everyday life. It was the valley’s unsung hero on wheels.
While it no longer runs, its legacy lives on in the stories of Chipursan a golden era etched in steel and soul.
We honour Rozi Bai, Sharif Uddin and Ghufran the pioneers who paved the way for progress.
This Troopy wasn’t just a ride.
It was history in motion.
