Muhammad Usman Younas, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Captain (r) recently instructed for refurbishment of an old ‘Sarai’ (Inn) situated in Sarai Kharbooza near G.T Road rural area of Islamabad.
The CDA Chairman visited ‘Sarai’ (inn) and instructed to start the refurbishment on priority basis of an old heritage.
However, he also ordered a committee which would assist concern department would supervise the refurbishment of ‘Sarai’ and open the old heritage for tourists.
He informed that the ‘Sarai’ in really in bad situation as the site never got noticed in the sight of archaeologists.
Moreover, Usman recalled the history and said that Mughal Emperor Jahangir also mentioned in his memories that once he stayed at 900 years old ‘Sarai’ during 1605 while traveling on the route.
