KASUR (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Sunday visited the flood-hit area in Kasur amid torrential rains.
CM Maryam Nawaz visited the border area of Talwar Post in order to expedite the relief measures.
The chief minister also visited a relief camp in Sheikhpura Nau, located in the Kasur district, where she welcomed families arriving by boat from the flood-hit area of Gatti Kalanjar.
Maryam Nawaz held a small child in her arms before handing the child back to the mother.
She personally asked about the well-being of all the women arriving via rescue boats.
CM Maryam offered reassurance and emotional support to the flood victims facing this difficult time.

During her presence, two large boats carrying livestock also arrived at the camp, indicating ongoing rescue operations for both people and animals.
The authorities continue to provide shelter, food, and medical assistance as floodwaters disrupt daily life across several districts in Punjab.
Earlier, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Director General Irfan Kathia said that Punjab is facing the worst floods in its history, with 33 people dead, 2 million affected, and 2,200 villages submerged.
Speaking to media in Lahore on Sunday, he said that water at Head Sulaimanki is still rising and will hit peak levels by evening.
At Trimmu Barrage, the water flow has reached 361,633 cusecs, an increase of 100,000 cusecs. He added that the 9th spell of monsoon rains has caused further devastation, but their top priority remains saving human lives.
